TODAY’S FEATURED PROSPECTS

If position ranking is noted, it is 247 Sports latest composite ranking of the player.

MICHAEL BARRETT

CLASS: 2018

POSITION: No. 53 Dual-Threat QB

HT, WT: 5 foot 11.5, and 221 lbs

SCHOOL: Lowndes High School

CITY, STATE: Valdosta, GA

STATUS: Undeclared

UGA OFFER: No.

# OFFERS: 16

NEWS & NOTES: Barrett is a very talented south Georgia high school QB and athlete. So why isn’t he getting as much pub as class of 2018 Peach State QBs like Justin Fields, which he put up similar numbers to last season? His height. A number of coaches and programs are hestitant about offering a QB that is not quite 6 foot tall. But that hasn’t stopped some major FBS programs from offering the Lowndes star.

JUSTIN FIELDS

CLASS: 2018

POSITION: No. 1 Dual-Threat QB

HT, WT: 6 foot 3, and 221 lbs

SCHOOL: Harrison High School

CITY, STATE: Kennesaw, GA

STATUS: Undeclared

UGA OFFER: Yes, offered on 11/18/2016.

# OFFERS: 41

NEWS & NOTES: Fields visited UGA on June 12th and again on July 14th after de-committing from PSU back on June 6th. It looks like it is down to Auburn, FSU, and Georgia for Fields. He has taken unofficial visits to all three programs over the summer. While I know there have been crystal ball predictions for Fields to FSU since he came off his visit with the ‘Noles on July 20th, I still think the Bulldogs are the team to beat here.
