NEWS & NOTES: T. Johnson visited UGA back on May 20th. Johnson also recently made the short jaunt over to Gainesville, FL to visit the Gators’ on the weekend of July 21st. He is considered a heavy Bulldog lean at the moment, but both Florida and FSU are throwing everyhting but the kitchen sink at him. UCLA has also been recruiting Tyreke for a long while now. So when will the talented 2018 DB make his decision? He has said it will likely be before the December early signing period and he plans to be an early enrollee.

DARICK STEPHENSON

POSITION: DB – Safety

HT, WT: 5 foot 11.5, and 190 lbs

SCHOOL: Tucker High School

CITY, STATE: Tucker, GA

NEWS & NOTES: Stephenson doesn’t have an offer from UGA, but he did visit the Bulldogs back on 04/07/2017. He is strong, fast DB who could play safety, Nickel CB, or STAR at the next level. One thing that will jump out at you when you watch Darick play is that he will come up and blow up a play. When he comes down hill, he is bringing the wood and will deliver a blow. Darick and his Tucker teammates have a big neutral, non-conference game versus Kell High School from the state of Texas this Saturday at 9:00 a.m. in the Corky Kell Classic.

NEWS & NOTES: The Bulldogs offered Torain, Jr. back in March, and he put Georgia in his top four on August 2nd alonng with Tennessee, UCLA, and USF. He Tweeted out on Monday night that he was going to announce his commitment on Tuesday at 7:00 p.m. ET, but then about an hour later said there was a change of plans; however, he would still be committing soon. At 6 foot 2 and 195 lbs, he could also play safety at the next level and some analyst think that may be the position that best suits his skill set; although, Torain is also a very talented receiver.

NEWS & NOTES: The ‘Goose’ committed to the Bulldogs back at the first part of June to help kick off Georgia’s 2018 recruiting resurgence. The talented south Florida DB committed about a week after de-committing from Rutgers. At this point and time, Wildgoose appears to be solidly committed to the Dogs.
