  1. Dawgnation89

DawgDaddy Dawgnation89 Looking at the rankings, Auburn signed 3 top 20 WR; UGA signed 0 top 20. Even with our awful offense last year we still had more passing yards then them.

  2. Dawgnation89

DawgDaddy Dawgnation89 not only that but they got Craig myers too! like what the heck are they doing to convince WRs to go there…

  3. DawgDaddy

haws1178 Old guy here just checking on you whippersnappers before heading off to bed.  Y’all take care.

  4. DawgDaddy

Dawgnation89 Evidently KD is not a very smart kid, he had the chance to be Eason’s favorite receiver coming in with him.  But now he gets to learn to block a lot and catch a few balls every now and again.

  5. Dawgnation89

I still can not believe that we did not land Kyle Davis last year! Having him in Chaney offense would have been huge!

  6. Richmondawg

Bulldawg36 How in the world can you not swim? Very dangerous. You need to learn so you can teach your child. Not trying to hassle you, but I grew up in Savannah and Virginia Beach, and your knowledge of the water can mean your life, man…its that important.

  7. dentaldawg

haws1178 Haws, just cause you’re old doesn’t mean you can’t still do stupid stuff. I’m 59 and I can still do stupid stuff with the best of y’all!

  8. haws1178

Well I’m not exactly young anymore but I can still run. I guess 37 is when you start thinking about becoming an old Dawg lol. I’m not old yet through I still make to many stupid decisions to be considered old lmao

  9. haws1178

A lot of cars seem to be that way these days. It’s sad really. Worked on a Dodge charger today. Put a new set of lifters in it and got a Chevy pickup tomorrow for brakes and you know what else. The dreaded blend door actuator lol

  10. Bulldawg36

Running good, except for parts break easy on the thing like plastic covers. The interior of the Pontiac seems like it’s made from cheap material

  11. haws1178

I don’t remember giving them a layoff so they better get back to discussing football lol

  12. Bulldawg36

Seems like they ain’t. Everybody is vacationing in some beach Fla. i don’t like the beach much because I can’t swim. Plus it’s too hot for my prego wife

  13. Bulldawg36

Just think it’s gonna be a while before anybody knocks bummer off their stump. They still have a roster full of 4 and 5 stars

  14. haws1178

Saban can’t be everywhere at once. I think they take a step back. Pruitt is good with the secondary but will that be enough. That means Saban will have to let kiffen have free reign on the offense and we know he likes shooting himself in the foot

  15. haws1178

It will be interesting to see how BAMA does after how much of the defensive staff has come to UGA . Not to mention losing their D-line coach

My last visit to turkey was to Marmaris which is where the president is supposedly hold up. That was 10 plus years ago now. Very nice Turkish riviera.

  17. Bulldawg36

Just got back from bargains in Pelza!! Bought 5lbs of apricots…99 cent per pound!! Wooooo doggies that’s some might fine eaten right there!!!!!

  18. RumRunnerDoogie

Bansai buckeroo well for obvious reasons i cant voice my opinions on here. but they are the biggest NATO military outside of the US. now i do think the president or whatever they call him is kinda facist. but lets end this here to not give ole greg a stroke 🙂

  19. Bansai buckeroo

I was in Istanbul 2 years ago and our tour guide told us that she and her husband were probably going to have to move to Greece because of how bad non Muslims were being treated by the current government. She was Catholic… Turkey use to be one of our strongest allies in the region but that changed under this fundamentalist Muslim regime.

  20. Greg Poole

Six decades dawg  I’m all in on that comment but I especially like the last sentence.

  21. RumRunnerDoogie

Bansai buckeroo i would think so since most of the military are trained by the west

  22. Bansai buckeroo

Coup taking place in Turkey by their military.,this is a good thing is successful.

  23. Six decades dawg

Would like to contend every year and win a natty on a frequent basis. Would like to establish / maintain a winning record against our major rivals. Would also like to be able to change my handle a couple of times—good Lord willing.

  24. Bulldawg36

I’m very nervous about the season. If we start out 1-4!!! I’m gonna be depressed!!!!

  25. dawgmum

Bulldawg36 I’d rather have our guys coming out mad with something to prove than having all the off-season accolades giving them false confidence. I think being thought of as the underdog is a good thing. We’ll show ’em!

  26. Bulldawg36

Well I’m mad as fire now, shouldn’t of never listen to the local sports station!!!! Walt deptula said they we are gonna start out 1-4. With losses to unc tenn Mizzou and ole miss. Said we won’t be able to run the ball on unc like Baylor did.. Because they spread u out and he called Art Briles a genius. Also said another reason we would struggle is cause he thinks Chubb won’t be at full force till mid season. Thinks it takes a while to get it back mentally. Walt makes me sick!!!!!!!!!!!!

  27. RumRunnerDoogie

DawgDaddy RumRunnerDoogie i do too but one game a year (say homecoming) why not

  28. RumRunnerDoogie

if kirby is a mold of saban im sure we wont see them but i would love to have the black jerseys at least once a year

  29. RumRunnerDoogie

MMCSDAWG RumRunnerDoogie oh i stalk the ole BI everyday. Granted this weekend might be less since a family member is on R&R from the “sand box”

RumRunnerDoogie Great one Rummy!   You’ll hunker it down 1 more time!  Check in this weekend!

  31. RumRunnerDoogie

i guess i should post something uga related before i get banned so here yall go 🙂

  32. Backwudz

Any kid brave enough to walk around the Southwest side of Atlanta with a bright red head has my respect… My hair is different as well but maybe he needs to go back to purple until he gets to Athens…

  33. JessCapel

RumRunnerDoogie Bulldawg36 Yep, at 50, I’d be real lucky to make it another 36 years waiting

  34. Bansai buckeroo

@RobG…. Rob, that store has been there at least 60 years that I know…. Famous for their smothered hamburgers and breakfast in the day…

  35. Hobnailboot aka RobG

Bansai buckeroo Our shop is straight across the tracks from the Hapeville Chic-fil-a

  36. Bansai buckeroo

@Chief..The cooking process probably changed somewhere along the line with franchising. KFC was also much better when it first came out.

Bansai buckeroo That’s funny, i said the same thing a week or so ago.  They tasted better back when I was working there, i know the chicken breasts were bigger and I can’t believe they got rid of the Coleslaw!  They had the best Coleslaw.

  38. Bansai buckeroo

@ chief… My dad use to take me to the Dwarf House in Hapeville when I was a kid. This was before Chic Fil a….. They use to serve a great hamburger smothered with grilled onions. I’m not sure when they served their first chick Fil a. I had my first there in 1972. I remember them being even better than they are now….

  39. RumRunnerDoogie

MMCSDAWG BahitsDawg Greg Poole thats a boss who cares about those who works for him

BahitsDawg Greg Poole I worked for Chick-fil-A as a kid and was at one of the two stores where we trained all the prospective owner operators.  The Southlake store was ran by Bubba Cathy and the Shannon Mall by Dan Cathy.   One of the benefits of working at these two stores was being invited to Truitt’s place and riding 4-wheelers, horses, and the likes.  He would show up at the Shannon Mall store in overall’s.  He was a special man and I’ve always admired his commitment and conviction.

  41. Bulldawg36

Nobody is better than UGA baby!!!!! I mean, nobody!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  42. DawgDaddy

Greg Poole I like his reason for committing in August.  He seems to be a great kid with a great personality.

  43. JessCapel

MMCSDAWG Greg Poole Tunsil’s girlfriends “academic” scholarship was more than that (she may have been a genius for all I know)

  44. RumRunnerDoogie

Greg Poole didnt know they did that group text, kinda of cool since it shows these guys are close and literally act like team mates

  45. RobDawg

@Bleudawg – You sure that’s not the creepy perv in your office using some slang trying to build himself up saying pocket monster?

66DAWGnNC Bulldawg36 I’m pretty sure I read something similar.  I believe both teams will be in home colors.  That Red sure will look good smeared all over those baby blue uniforms!  GATA

  47. 66DAWGnNC

Bulldawg36 I read something a few weeks back that said both teams would be in their home uniforms since the colors would not clash. I could be wrong though. We are the “Visitors” for this game, so we may be in white.

DawgLink Don’t care if they are 50%… LOL  They won 11 games last year, that all that counts before the season kicks off anyway.  All teams are going to have injuries.  Look at who we might be missing.

Greg Poole Those Gumps will turn on you son, you need to come back home to God’s country anyway!  #CommittotheG

Greg Poole DawgDaddy If they in fact did this act, then I do not want them on our team.  I’m not going to rush to judgement though, I still remember the Duke lacrosse incident.  Hopefully no UGA Athletes involved from any sport!

  51. Panic Fan

nolabigdawg Panic Fan Greg Poole Thank you NOLA-BD!!  I’ll be down in NOLA in Oct for a fishing trip!!

  52. Joe Dawg

MMCSDAWG Joe Dawg  I think we will run the ball really well, have a huge advantage in the time of possession and most drives will lead to scores. Dawgs really turn it on in the second half!

Joe Dawg I like what your selling Joe!  I honestly believe Eason will start and I would not be surprised at ALL to see #27 trot out there as well!  I’m looking forward to some practice reports in a few weeks!  I believe UNC’s defense is WEAK and we should control TOP and field position no matter who’s starting.  I’ll go with 35-13.  We hold them to one TD and 2 fg’s.

  54. Joe Dawg

That Georgia Dome is going to be rocking like never before when Nick Chubb and Jacob Eason trot out on our first offensive series. Dawgs play with great emotion and pummel North Carolina 49-17!

  55. BahitsDawg

Bulldawg36 I would make a Butch Jones joke, but it isn’t appropriate.  I hope she is ok.

  56. Bulldawg36

Tracy Rocker turned James Deloach into pretty good player. Remember he was a LB to start his career I believe. Deloach now has a shot a NFL career

Bleudawg Bulldawg36 Kirby, Schumann, Rocker, Tucker, and Sherrer.   This staff will be prepared.

  58. Bulldawg36

Because we will have a veteran secondary and tough as nails LBs who are very athletic. Plus John Atkins and Hawkins are gonna be great this year

  59. DawgDaddy

Greg Poole I’ll take UGA and the 10 points all day and twice on Sunday.  Crazy talk out of this guy.

  60. Bleudawg

Greg Poole Bleudawg my little office is in the only shopping center in town so we are getting some strange visitors and not all of them are youngins. %$&*# I got a pocket monster for you….get off my lawn

  61. Greg Poole

Bleudawg My knowledge on the subject is severely limited and I’m not very curious.

  62. BahitsDawg

MMCSDAWG Greg Poole lol, maybe, he is confused.  They are pretty good at round ball.

  63. Bleudawg

Greg Poole Bulldawg36 i was told my office contains “pocket monsters”…is that this pokemon thing? if so Im calling an exterminator.

  64. Greg Poole

Bulldawg36  He only vapes WHILE searching for the elusive creatures. That is why they are so hard to find.

Greg Poole Stopped reading when the author used the term “tip” off their  season in grand fashion….  This person is NOT a football fan nor do I believe he has a Clue.  Football does NOT Tip-off.

  66. RumRunnerDoogie

Lucas Rogers BahitsDawg RumRunnerDoogie Hobnailboot aka RobG u would play pokemon go

  67. SonOfHenry

MMCSDAWG Yeah, I figure it won’t really matter. If I get cheap seats I don’t mind where I am, but if I’m going lower bowl I’d like to be around my Dawg Brethren. I’ve gotten mixed signals about which team is at home. Technically, it is us but I’ve seen both teams listed as the home team.

@SonOfHenry I have heard that UGA was actually being listed as the Visiting team, so I would assume the visitors side of the Dome, but I’m pretty sure that 85-90% of the dome will be Dawgs!

  69. SonOfHenry

Does anybody happen to know what sections or what side will be considered to be the UGA side in the Dome on September 3rd? Working on getting tickets.

Greg Poole I like this kid!  He’s going to be a road grader between the tackles in a couple of years!

  71. Bulldawg36

That’s true. It is hard to say who the best OC Is right now. I don’t think any of em are in the sec. Even tho lane kiffin is pretty good.

  72. Greg Poole

Bulldawg36  Tell me who the best coordinator in CFB is and give me one game film. I promise I’ll find calls that I can label as poor. It is not about any play(s), the only question is, will he win at UGA?. That remains to be seen.

  73. BahitsDawg

Bulldawg36 Arky is a challenge, but they have had some good offenses.  I don’t care what they say about our Dynamic Chubby Duo, it has to be a vast improvement over last year.

G-Day gave me lots of hope.

  74. Bulldawg36

The only thing I like about Pelzer is they’re more UGA fans here than SC fans. Been seeing a lot of UGA tags here lately!U0001f44dU0001f3fb

  75. Bulldawg36

Maybe so, but they did give examples of his poor play calling. But with that said it he will have more talent to work with at UGA

  76. Bulldawg36

I hope I will like it. The hawg fans sure don’t. I mean, I think they actually hate the guy

  77. Greg Poole

MMCSDAWG I have a 247 account (free) through my FWAA membership but hardly ever visit anything that isn’t free – can’t post the pay stuff here so what’s the point.

Bleudawg Greg Poole I totally agree, I still have a membership over at Rivals, but honestly, I can hardly read it sometimes, I’ve had the membership for over 5 years and I have posted less than 10 comments.   The information and discussion here is MUCH better.   I mostly follow our old cohort and MNM Trent, but for daily discussions, I stay out of the Vent and the Vault!

  79. BahitsDawg

RumRunnerDoogie Hobnailboot aka RobG I saw a meme on FB that said the hardest thing about Pokemon Go is telling your parents you are gay.

Reddawg13 I believe that happened back in May Red…  i han’t heard exactly where he was going, but only that he was transferring.

  81. Bleudawg

Greg Poole The free blogs like these are really putting a hurt on the paid sites imho. Large staffs and travel budgets get expensive. Of course a few will survive but honestly I have tried a couple and would rather check out the few free sites I visit.  The posters are not bonkers and you dont have moderators sweating the loss of a paying subscriber….just my biased .02

  82. Reddawg13

I heard yesterday that Jake Edwards transferred to Georgia Southern. Guess I missed that one.

  83. Bansai buckeroo

It’s a Japanese plot to take over the world…##..But Bansai will be ok…. 🙂

  84. RobDawg

I think there already have been several crimes of opportunity and maybe a couple deaths attributed to using this game

  85. 1Dawg under God

So how long before sombody gets killed over a Pikachu? I mean it’s bound to happen

  86. jwp1983

Bulldawg36 I’d like to see the correlation of pedestrian deaths to when pokerman came out and got big.

  87. jwp1983

Bulldawg36 I see Finebaum jogging alot of mornings. He’s about 6′ 2″ 95 lbs. I think the mental midget has leverage and would win with a solid pin.

Greg Poole BahitsDawg I didn’t know SDS (Saturday down South) was around back in 69′!  lol

  89. Greg Poole

BahitsDawg  That is just a rip-off of the slogan of SDS from 1969. It fizzled the and is non-existant now.

  90. BahitsDawg

Hopefully the whole day of rage thing today was just some nerds wild dream and it fizzles.  We don’t need any more division in our country and the world.  Anyhow, stay safe.

  91. RumRunnerDoogie

Greg Poole Score Check that just means all these predictions are just a shot in the dark, so who knows where he will be going

  92. BahitsDawg

Bulldawg36 Finebaum wouldn’t stand a chance.  He is still in too much awe of his deity lord Saban to lay a glove on him.

  93. 1mandawgpack

MMCSDAWG Greg Poole  Agreed – those are only the items in which there was a “paper trail” that can be investigated.  You have to believe that there were lots of money handshakes along the way that has no trail that can be investigated.

  94. 1mandawgpack

RumRunnerDoogie 1mandawgpack  Rum, I’ve been expecting to see wildebeests, lions and giraffes here in Atlanta it’s been so hot.  Feel like I’m out on the plains in Africa.

  95. 66DAWGnNC

Greg Poole I know he is after some guys and there are some top rated WR’s that have us either leading or very high on their list, so I believe we will get some of those guys with the QB’s we have. I also believe if Kirby can have some success this season, 9 or 10 wins, can keep the current staff together, then it is only going to get better from here. If those two things happen, we will be “Alabama of the East” in 2 or 3 seasons, turning kids away and always in the National picture.

  96. 1mandawgpack

RumRunnerDoogie Score Check  I think your comparison is a good one as in a lot of way, he reminds me of Woerner. Those guys from 1-16 in middle Ga. don’t need a lot of fanfare and media attention relating to the recruiting process as their families and communities keep them grounded and provide the support they need.  I can tell you that growing up in S. Ga., the entire community raises kids.

  97. BahitsDawg

66DAWGnNC It would be great to get all the best WRs, but we have a good catching crew between the TEs, RBs and WRs.

The thing I thought was the coolest yesterday was that we didn’t drop out of the 247 second spot even with the decommit.  That speaks volumes about the quality of our other commitments.   I hate losing a commit, but hopefully it will be for the best for both the young man and for UGA and for whatever school he lands at…. unless it is Auburn, Florida, Tennessee, GTech, Scar….

  98. Greg Poole

MMCSDAWG  LOL – you bet! It would be pretty cool to have a vote on one of these awards though.

  99. Greg Poole

66DAWGnNC  I don’t see many thinking that the decommit is a big negative. Kirby will get his WRs.

  100. Score Check

    Greg Poole Score Check
Well, that’s not a bad way to go.
I find it interesting we hear so very little from him, but yet the Dawgs dominate his CBs.

  101. 66DAWGnNC

I saw yesterday where we had a WR decommit. Obviously some other sites presented it as “The Sky is Falling at UGA.” Personally I don’t understand why the top WR’s in the country are not committing on the spot with Eason, Fromm, and hopefully Lawrence, although I fear he may be headed to Clemson, maybe not. So, I got to thinking: (1)  Was the decommit mutual? (2) Was it one-sided? Or, (3) Is this indicative of higher rated guys wanting to come on board and the kid realized he would see the field faster somewhere else? I don’t put much emphasis on the “star” rating, figuring if the staff offers a scholly the kid can play. It does seem that we need some of the top WR’s to really solidify the offensive recruiting. We are loading up at the other positions on that side of the ball.

  102. Greg Poole

RobDawg  I did some research and the email’s signatory is associated with the Award. I responded to email – we’ll see.

  103. Score Check

I wonder what’s going on with Nate Bride’s recruitment.
It reminds me a lot like Worner’s from last year.   VERY QUIET

Greg Poole Good luck to the nephew!  Sounds like Kirby is up grading from the Pizza’s!

  105. Greg Poole

Just got our nephew (WVU grad) from Philly on the road to make his sales calls in Athens and Marietta. Took him to 5&10 last night and gave him a little tour of ATH.
Part of the tour was a drive-by of Butts-Mehre. There were catering trucks at the ground floor entrance – getting ready for today’s visitors, I guess.

1mandawgpack Good luck to your daughters team and you bring back a championship!  WE will hold her down around here !  lol

Greg Poole There is still debbie downers out there, let’s see how positive our fanbase remains if we don’t win the opener…   And what if we don’t win the SEC in Kirby’s first year.  I mean isn’t that why we hired him…  The fringe will always be the fringe and no matter what we do, some in our fanbase will never be satisfied, but I for one will always believe!   Like @Red Dawg says, Why not us!  and Why not now!

  108. 1mandawgpack

Heading to Destin, FL for my daughter’s last out-of-town travel softball tournament this summer before school resumes on Aug. 3.  I don’t expect much from the BI crew while I’m gone other than commitments from 2 5* and 3 4* recruits while I’m gone.  Anything less will be disappointing and I have complete faith in this crew getting it done.  ATD.

  109. RumRunnerDoogie

Bulldawg36 yea at my age jumping in a zoo pit and playing with a koala is considered public intoxication and trespassing now

  110. Bulldawg36

Who would win in a wrestling match? Finebaum vs Saban? Rules…no pulling of the hair

  111. Bulldawg36

No difference. Lol. It’s great just download that app and stay up all night chasing after lil characters on the streets. It’s absolutely fantastic!!

  112. BahitsDawg

Bulldawg36 Pokemon Go is the work of the Gamecocks, I mean the Devil….. good grief, What’s the difference?

  113. Bulldawg36

I tell ya man… You’re absolutely right. I think I’ll go jump a zoo fence today! Woo hoo!! It’s great to be a kid again. You should give a try rummy

Greg Poole Hammer Down!   There is a LOT more than 15,000 in illegal benefits that have been provided at Ole Miss.   Yet, I have no confidence in the NCAA to do anything consequential in this case.

  115. RumRunnerDoogie

Bulldawg36 u seem like the type of dude to get arrested for assaulting someone for catching a pokemon u were after

  116. Bulldawg36

I’m also a fan of bo didley and Tom petty teaming up together!! I know that was long time ago! Lol

  117. RobDawg

i guess if they ask your for your registration fee to be able to vote that will be the tip off

  118. Avon Barksdale

How confident are you guys about Jacoby Stevens?? Sounds like he’s announcing real soon…

  119. Greg Poole

From a public relations standpoint, a harsh penalty with no new allegations will satisfy Mississippi State fans and Alabama fans. But outside the fanbases whose schools play Ole Miss on an annual basis, it would appear the NCAA is decimating a program over a little more than $15,000 in extra benefits. Among those with no dog in the hunt, such sanctions will play quite differently in 2016 than they would have in 2006 or even in 2010. Freeze and every other coach in the SEC West make at least $4 million a year. The SEC rakes in millions from its network partnership with ESPN. The general public no longer views a few hundred dollars here and there—or a few hotel stays*, as the Notice of Allegations alleges—as sins that could bring down the republic. But if the COI doesn’t hammer Ole Miss, the people within the programs with skin in the game could view any leniency as a tacit approval to bring back Southwest Conference-style bidding wars. In its own way, the Ole Miss case might be as much of a referendum on the NCAA’s ever-shifting definition of amateurism as any of the cases currently circulating through the federal court system.

  120. Greg Poole

I just got an email inviting me to be a Biletnikoff Award voter. Being a naturally suspicious and skeptical individual, I’m waiting to see what kind of scam is behind the email.

  121. Bansai buckeroo

I saw Solomon mentioned in this article. Is he still realistically in play for Georgia? And will he be attending the camp?

  122. DawgDaddy

Greg Poole The kids seem to like this, as a long time Dawg fan I prefer our traditional unis.

  123. DawgDaddy

Greg Poole Good, he can see what a stink hole Auburn really is and then head back home.

  124. Greg Poole

Who is concerned that Georgia’s 2017 class is falling apart with the decommitment yesterday? I’m guessing no one. What a change in attitude in the fanbase, huh?
