TODAY’S FEATURED PROSPECT: Daniel Carter

Daniel Carter is a 5-11 195-pound running back from St. Thomas Aquinas High School. The Fort Lauderdale native ranks as the No. 16 RB and the No. 33 prospect in Florida. Carter holds 27 offers including one from Georgia, that offered in March of 2016. He recently committed to playing in the Under Armour All-American Game on March 8th. Carter says he doesn’t have any top schools right now, but Miami according to 247Sports is in the lead for him. Only time will tell with this running back and where he will choose to go. Carter says there isn’t a timetable on when he will make his decision. He just wants to choose the right place for him.

I spoke with Carter about his recruiting process, and what he thought about Georgia.

Daniel Carter Interview:

Q: How is the overall recruiting process going for you?

A: “It’s been going great.”

Q: Do you have any Schools in the running where you’ll take your official visits?

A: “No, not right now. I’m going to wait until I take my unofficial.”

Q: What do you think of Georgia?

A: “I like Georgia. That’s like a second home for me. I got family up there and I like them as a football team and a school.”

Q: How hard are they recruiting you? And what are some things they are telling you?

A: “Really hard, and they’re telling me that they like me as a running back and a person.”

Q: What are your concerns about Georgia? Especially playing at a position that is so deep there?

A: “Nothing. I’m not concerned at all. In college, there is going to be competition everywhere you go. Playing for St. Thomas there’s competition every day in practice.”

Q: What are the key factors that will go into your decision?

A: “Somewhere my family can come see my games and somewhere I feel like it’s home.”

Q: Any top schools? If so who?

A: ” I don’t have any top schools. I’m open to anywhere.”

Q: Have you decided when you will commit to a school? If so when?

A: “No I haven’t decided when. I want to ride out this process as long as I could to make sure where I go is best for me.”
