Asked my daughter this past weekend who she thought should start at QB. She said Eason. I told her that some coaches and pundits are concerned that he could lose confidence if they start him right away and he struggles some. Without hesitating she says: “Well he isn’t a very good QB then…if he can’t handle some adversity.”

So goes on to say that Kirby needs to go to Eason and say: “I’m new at being a head coach…you’re new at being a college QB…let’s start off this thing together…you’re the starter.”

I know, I know; too simple; but it could work.

  2. WaterlooDawg

Bulldawg36 You probably waited too long to rotate the tires. Have them put them back. Either that or your tire fluid is low.

  3. Bulldawg36

I couldn’t get clean solid hits on the thing it kept weaving and bobbing. Getting behind stuff. I was wore out from swinging. Lo

  4. RumRunnerDoogie

Greg Poole naw they want him to come back to charge him more. or completely incompetent

  5. Greg Poole

Clearly, you need a new suspension devululater coupling. I’m surprised that they did not repace it initially.

  6. RumRunnerDoogie

Bulldawg36 lol my pit is like the dog that would catch something finally and be like “well now what?” shes a 70 lb lap dog in her mind

  7. Bulldawg36

Well I hope he catches one… One day. I once killed a musk rat when I was a security guard with a steel pole. I whacked that joker in the head about 22 times before it died. Dang thing was viscous. It had huge sharp teeth.

  8. Hobnailboot aka RobG

Bulldawg36 not my dog, he apparently doesn’t understand the concept of looking up, all the squirrels have to do is climb about 5 foot off the ground and my dog starts looking around like where the heck did it go, it’s rather funny actually

  9. Bulldawg36

I imagine if a pitt bull could manage to catch a squirrel… The squirrel would fight back..it surely wouldn’t go down like a bird would. I hate squirrels tho. I hate anything in the rat kingdom

  10. Bulldawg36

Went it got my car an Alignment and tires balanced & rotated! Asked the feller if everything looked alright..he said the brakes and tires were were all good. Then I got in the car headed home on I-85!!! Got up to about 70 and the steering wheel was still shaking!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  11. RumRunnerDoogie

Bulldawg36 lol ive never seen my pit get close to catching one, she normally tries to claim up the trees

  12. Hobnailboot aka RobG

Bulldawg36 I got him, he stays inside, but when the neighbors dog Roscoe is out him and my dog will just run through the woods and chase squirrels for hours

  13. Bulldawg36

Maybe Sony michel will let butch jones borrow his horse to ride out of town at the end of fall when the vowels only win 6 games!U0001f602U0001f602U0001f602

  14. Hobnailboot aka RobG

Bulldawg36 I had to track down my dog, him and the neighbors dog have been terrorizing the neighborhood squirrel population

  15. RumRunnerDoogie

Bulldawg36 haha if a bar has a liquor license (dont know what the laws are up there) they can serve anything

  16. Bulldawg36

    Never had run before..so I wasn’t sure. I haven’t been in a bar since 2011 my brotha

  17. dsw61

With all these 3* that Butch is signing; if Gibbs goes to Tennessee; he will think he signed with Kentucky by the time he reaches his sophomore year.

  18. KaolinDawg

Now that Solomon apoears headed North at least for the moment does anyone know if we plan to turn up the heat on Webb down the road in Madison? I have been surprised at the lack of attention the DT position seems to have gotten in this class up to this point even though it’s weak in state. Especially with Kirby’s history at Bama with the deep DL also.

  19. Greg Poole

Hobnailboot aka RobG RumRunnerDoogie   You are gonna give 36 a complex…oh, wait…

  20. Hobnailboot aka RobG

RumRunnerDoogie Hobnailboot aka RobG No not who needs to be committed…..##

  21. BenKellam

BahitsDawg Greg Poole They are odd, but its the outline of a bulldog head…sorta.

  22. Greg Poole

BahitsDawg Every play will be viewed by the SEC but as far as I know they will just be calling penalties…

  23. BahitsDawg

Greg Poole LOVE the hesitation of the two other officials as they figure out whether to score it.   Would this one go to the SEC office for review?

  24. BahitsDawg

Bulltoad AlphaDawg Rarely are taxpayers not lied to.  It is standard operating procedures.

  25. MMCSDAWG

Greg Poole No S*^# Sherlock…   That was pretty much a forgone conclusion from the beginning.  Some big time influences at play here.  Poor kid with the public defender gets 10 years prison for similar crimes…

  26. Bulltoad

AlphaDawg They forgot to mention the extra 200 million it is now costing.  1.5 billion.  I hope the roof works like it is supposed to.

  27. BahitsDawg

Greg Poole BahitsDawg Hicks mask was pretty cool until it was outlawed.

We could always go for the terrifying  “Hey, who turned off the lights” look.

  28. BahitsDawg

Greg Poole BahitsDawg I watched a little of the Hawks in the play-offs two years ago.

I loved it back in the Dominique, Byrd, MJ era, but now, not my thing.

  29. BahitsDawg

Greg Poole I was not one of the!  lol, I am happy BB season is finally over.

Am I the only one who things Basket Ball and Base ball seasons are much too long, and football, much too short?

  30. Greg Poole

MMCSDAWG That is a good method. You should put together a highlight film like – candid highlights

  31. MMCSDAWG

Greg Poole MMCSDAWG I like the sound of that…  his film was good, as I’ve said before, the way I evaluate prospects film is to find another player on their teams hudl highlights and watch the prospect on those plays!  It’s easy to find 10-12 good plays to put on your own highlight, but what are you doing the other 95% of the time?  He has a great motor and excellent hands!

  32. Greg Poole

MMCSDAWG He is impressive. When I saw him at the camp, I knew I should know him but he looked like an upperclassman. Took a while to figure out who it was.

  33. Greg Poole

godawgs678  Dawg Night is done as far as I can tell. The new version will be a 3 day CKS Camp in mid-July.

  34. RumRunnerDoogie

godawgs678 yes and no. instead of one big camp smart has been doing camps by grade

  35. godawgs678

Sorry if this is a dumb question. Will we still do Dawg Night or was that a Richt thing?

  36. BahitsDawg

Greg Poole Don’t have a trainer and have a volunteers.  It is more profitable that way.

  37. Bulldawg36

Heck yeah… Which is doable. Making the playoffs is expecting too much for a first year coach

  38. MMCSDAWG

Bulldawg36 YES!!!!   That means we beat UTk and UF.  Hell yeah I would be happy with that!

  39. Lucas Rogers

BahitsDawg Lucas Rogers July will be a big month. Beal is announcing at the Opening I believe and signs are pointing towards UGA. So that’ll be a 5 star 🙂

  40. Bulldawg36

What if we lost to only ole miss & unc but beat everyone else would y’all be happy with that?

  41. BahitsDawg

Lucas Rogers I wonder if the moment they move ahead of us, if Kirby will have one of the other “silents” announce?

  42. AlphaDawg

Greg Poole Explains why he hasn’t got a HC job again. Too much baggage. He’ll ride out the check and then move on. Probably the same year Saban does

  43. AlphaDawg

Lucas Rogers Have we offered him? Because out of their 17 commits, we’ve only offered 2

  44. MMCSDAWG

Greg Poole You just keep trying to fire me up!!!  you know I love M. Carter!  He was the better of the two between him and D. Brown!    I also believe T. Clark is going to be a solid DL as well.  But, Carter is going to All-SEC type talent!

  45. Lucas Rogers

they’re about to pass us up in rankings too lol. But we have 7 less commits lol

  46. MMCSDAWG

Greg Poole No big surprise there…  Unbelievable what happens outside Athens, GA.  Prosecution declined?  Glad to know it’s ok to carry around stolen weapons while in possession of illegal narcotics!  I’ll bet you and I won’t get away with that.

  47. Greg Poole

Every Crimson Tide assistant football coach but Lane Kiffin will have their contract discussed by the committee. The offensive coordinator is entering the third year of his three-year deal signed before the 2014 season. He didn’t receive a raise or extension last summer either.
The terms of Kiffin’s buyout after being fired from USC in 2013 means Alabama effectively doesn’t have to give him raises because he’s due $3.4 million a year from USC. Any pay from Alabama only reduces the burden of the USC buyout.
Kiffin was paid $2.7 million by USC in 2014, the Los Angeles Times reported. He made $680,000 in each of his first two years from Alabama and is due to make $714,000 in 2016. Alabama opens the 2016 season against USC on Sept. 3 in Arlington, Texas.

  48. dawgmum

Greg Poole Well, that was handy. Good thing that stolen gun wasn’t a BB gun. Things could have been different. ##

  49. Greg Poole

PTCDawg As Lucas said, Solomon is not a done deal – far from it. DL recruitment is going to be very interesting and will tell us  much about the staff’s thinking. Let’s say they miss on Solomon, do they move the ‘ship to another position group or go to a backup plan?

  50. Lucas Rogers

MMCSDAWG Lucas Rogers PTCDawg I’m sure it influenced his decision some, but don’t think it was a big factor

  51. MMCSDAWG

Lucas Rogers PTCDawg Do you possibly think his commitment had anything to do with his teammate also committing as a package deal???   I understand his teammate is a 2018 safety, not sure I’ve heard of him before all of this.

  52. PTCDawg

Greg Poole PTCDawg well if I move Beal and Herring to LB then I have zero DLs and about 10 LBs!! :>)

  53. Lucas Rogers

PTCDawg Solomon isn’t over. His mom loves Georgia, so that will help Georgia’s chances there. In state DL is not very deep this year. Beal currently is an OLB just cause of his size. He may grow into a DE though. I’d say 3 DL this class

  54. PTCDawg

Lucas, how many DLs you think we take this year? Dropping Solomon I only have Beal and Herring still on my tracking list.

  55. BenKellam

AlphaDawg BenKellam Dawgnation89 This next episode will be alot more relaxed I think. Mostly setting up for the next season. The 9th episode is usually their big blow out murder fest episode.

  56. Greg Poole

MMCSDAWG RumRunnerDoogie  – Just pointing out to Rummy that the season is 90 days long.

  57. Greg Poole

WalktheDawg Whisky Every camp this summer has had a fee attached and all  have been full

  58. WalktheDawg Whisky

Greg Poole WalktheDawg Whisky Just can’t imagine they are recruiting kids AND making them pay $250 a pop…

  59. WalktheDawg Whisky

Lucas Rogers $250 is a big hurdle for some of these kids…  Sounds like the CMR camp where the attendees were primarily kids of alumni that got to get on campus and shake hands with the Coaches… Was only a Marketing thing…..and made a little money for the student athletes that were coaching for the classes.
That $250 is going to be a hurdle for a lot of kids that we would like to get on campus….if that is the purpose….

  60. RumRunnerDoogie

Greg Poole RumRunnerDoogie kind of meant that she was just playing for uga like 2 weeks ago

  61. Greg Poole

    RumRunnerDoogie
Average NPF player salary is approximately $5,000-$6,000 for the playing season of June, July and August.

  62. Greg Poole

“Some of the third-party groups putting on these camps at high schools and other places don’t have a clue what they’re doing,” a Big Ten assistant that has attended around 10 satellite camps already this summer said. “There are plenty that do a tremendous job — folks like the Sound Mind, Sound Body organizers, and I thought the Next Level Camp in New Jersey was run like a well-oiled machine — but there was another event we were at where they were so disorganized the kids didn’t even have water for the first half of the camp and there wasn’t a trainer in sight.
    http://espn.go.com/college-sports/recruiting/football/story/_/id/16361967/the-two-types-satellite-camps-popping-summer

  63. Lucas Rogers

RumRunnerDoogie BahitsDawg Lucas Rogers Bulldawg36 I don’t venture to Knoxville much lol

  64. RumRunnerDoogie

BahitsDawg Lucas Rogers Bulldawg36 lucas was probably there, he does live in tenn after all

  65. Lucas Rogers

BahitsDawg Lucas Rogers I am not sure exactly. Just know they had to go close a hole. I haven’t really talked to her much since graduation just cause I moved away.

  66. BahitsDawg

Lucas Rogers I pray that she does well and the Doctors hands are blessed and guided.

Is it a congenital defect repair?

  67. dsw61

Re-watching the video of Eason’s G-Day performance got me wondering how UNC is going to handle Harris, Jeb, and Nauta if Eason is the QB.

  68. Lucas Rogers

A friend that i graduated with is having heart surgery today, so if yall could keep her in your prayers that’d be great!

  69. Greg Poole

ATHENS, Ga. — The 2016 University of Georgia Fan Day will be on Saturday, August 6, at Sanford Stadium. Times and a schedule of the day are TBD.

  70. Bulldawg36

That’s true, but sometimes ya gotta have some sense or you want make they graduation.lol

  71. Bulldawg36

Well I just don’t know how they would find that enjoyable. It’s not normal and they could end up in the hospital for alcohol poisoning

  72. BahitsDawg

Bulldawg36 lol.  I am just kidding.  I vaguely recall the hill billies did something unnatural with tail ends and alcohol.

  73. Bulldawg36

My bad! But you’re not family.###. Greg can erase it if he wants too. I’m due for a comment to be erased anyways

  74. BahitsDawg

dsw61 Well, there are the times when you are on field like Rocky flop and you step in a gofer hole.

  75. dsw61

Don’t know who is responsible for the throwing drills that Lawrence is doing in the video above; but IMO they are all good drills. Why in the world any coach would waste time getting QBs to do one knee drills; when you can use that time doing drills that incorporate the lower body; is a mystery to me.

  76. deltonadawg

Yes we are he is 9 so we really did not want him to have to go through having an operation

  77. deltonadawg

An update on my grandson. The doctors are now saying he does not have appendicitis he has an infected stomach. They are going to give him another round of antibiotics and he can come home this afternoon.

  78. AlphaDawg

Greg Poole Lucas Rogers I just wish they would have kept the name “Dawg Night” I thought it marketed well

  79. AlphaDawg

BenKellam AlphaDawg Dawgnation89 YES! This season has been packed full of action. I hate that it’s almost over because it takes so long to get a new season out.

  80. Greg Poole

Lucas Rogers Yep. As you remember, last year was a zoo. It had been building up to that for several years. Something had to change.
There were so many people around Pruitt workout of Mecole that I couldn’t swing the camera to catch anything downfield.

  81. Greg Poole

Lucas Rogers MMCSDAWG  I agree. If he gets an offer, he’ll flip. He is just, wisely, securing a ship while his recruiting plays out.

  82. Greg Poole

WalktheDawg Whisky The only problem with the argument is the assumption that UGA has “a position room full of 280# guys”.
I agree that Pittman is going to recruit bigger kids but big and SEC ready are not the same thing. However, you should not discount his belief in technique. I’ve spent a good bit of time watching his group in practice and watching him teach at camps – technique is priority one with him.
Who are the likely players to see first quarter action against UNC?
    Catalina – 300 +-
    Kublanow – 285 +-
    Wynn – 285 +-
    Pyke – 315 +-
    Simms – 300 +-
    Gailliard – 300+-
    Allen – 300 +-
    Baker – 315 +-

I really hope that Madden can contribute minutes but I had much rather have Cleveland around as a RS senior than playing now.

A good, well trained bigger guy will usually beat a smaller guy with the same talent and training, no doubt – but when thinking about OL ask yourself if your 22-year-old self could kick the crap out of your 18-year-old self. The physical maturity aspect is huge.

  83. BenKellam

Greg Poole PatriotVeteran But why would anyone ever want to weigh all their options and make an informed, well thought out decision? Don’t get me wrong, I love it when a guy commits on the spot, but when you’re going after top notch guys, they have basically limitless options. If you offer a guy, he takes his time to decide that Georgia is best for him, what more could you want? He picked us over every other top flight school that gave him an offer.

  84. BenKellam

AlphaDawg BenKellam Dawgnation89 That was probably a top 1 or 2 best episodes of the series I think. The guy who directed this past episode also did Hardhome. They should just let him take over the directing 100% from here on out.

  85. Lucas Rogers

Greg Poole WalktheDawg Whisky If they stuck with the same format as last year, it would be an uncontrollable amount of people this year with alll the hype around program.

  86. Greg Poole

PatriotVeteran  I don’t know why the coaching staff never thought of that. It would solve all of this recruiting drama. Only offer kids who will commit immediately and never waiver, WOW.

  87. Lucas Rogers

WalktheDawg Whisky Lucas Rogers It’s not really a revenue generator. It’s just like any camp, it cost money to go to. But definitely a recruiting tool.

  88. AlphaDawg

Lucas Rogers We could lose to any other SEC team, but UT, I need us to win…. It’s required.  I would take a loss to vandy over UT

  89. PatriotVeteran

Greg Poole They all say “It would mean a lots to get a UGA Offer” and once they get it, they start showboating and won’t commit anyhow, unless they get special attention.    Offer someone who “WANTS TO PLAY FOR UGA – NOT – just get an offer for their resume”.

  90. WalktheDawg Whisky

Lucas Rogers Is this a revenue generator or a recruiting tool… Lot of 9th graders not living the good life can’t buy the ticket…and most JUCO kids have trouble scraping together Beer money.

  91. WalktheDawg Whisky

Greg Poole WalktheDawg Whisky If you have a position room full of 280# guys… and you recruit 320#ers to fit a new philosophy.. Your 280 guys will need to take the bus out of town if they want to see playing time.. You can’t make a technique guy into a grader at that point in his career…. Thus young guys get pushed onto the field. We are about to see this in Athens.

  92. BahitsDawg

ZippyMorocco BahitsDawg Greg Poole With those heads on the wall, he and Big Country Ben and Woerner are going to all be huntin buddies for life!  They might even get west coast QB to shoot a deer.  lol

  93. BenKellam

Dawgnation89 I stayed up too late watching the warriors choke and then had to catch up on Game of Thrones. So I’m half asleep right now.

  94. Lucas Rogers

BahitsDawg Lucas Rogers Greg Poole click the little image button when you reply and at the bottom of list it says like link. Click that

  95. BahitsDawg

Lucas Rogers Greg Poole lyfre and it’s image logic is confusing.  Sometimes it works…. sometimes it doesn’t.  🙁

  96. BahitsDawg

AlphaDawg Plus, how many of these kids will not make it academically and character wise?  It seems like UT has a history of taking a lot of kids that we passed on because of character and grades issues.    Several of their past classes had a really high drop out or non-admission rate.  How will this one be any different?

  97. Dawgnation89

Fellas, I just do not feel like being here at work. Anyone else feel this way with me?

  98. BahitsDawg

MMCSDAWG Greg Poole Remember all the DBs that Pruitt ran out of Athens?  You do it Pruitt’s way or the hi-way!

  99. BahitsDawg

Greg Poole speaking of pain, be aware that a lot of people get hooked on pain killers in their teens via sports injuries.

Please be careful with the pain meds and your kids injuries.

  100. Greg Poole

BahitsDawg  NEVER!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! there are still flight to Bulgaria!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  101. TeeHDawg

That is true on all points. But watching some of their highlights and clips from camps, I think Leatherwood will contribute day 1. Smith in the right scheme will start.
But truthfully, if you relying on a freshman OL, it means you’re team is more than likely in trouble.

  102. Greg Poole

Bansai buckeroo  Agree. Near 100% in equities and dollar cost averaging in a very broad, low-cost fund. Forget anything aggressive, except maybe with the money you would have taken to Vegas.

  103. Greg Poole

WalktheDawg Whisky I don’t see that. It is just a matter of physical maturity and applies everywhere. In fact, the better the recruiting and S&C, the less likely a freshman OL starts.

  104. Bulldawg36

Agree. Also I want fat Albert being able to eat a Big Mac at the same time as he’s running straight up the damn gut!!!!!!

  105. Bulldawg36

My brother wants me to go the sc / UGA game this year…I dunno about that. It could be dangerous for me. I get a sickness just being around these people

  106. WalktheDawg Whisky

dsw61 Greg Poole Did it say that? I thought he said Blount was recruiting he and they.

  107. Bulldawg36

We need Isaiah Wilson! The man is 354 lbs and can dunk a basketball!!!! Wow!!!!! Get em Pittman!!! Let’s go!!!!!

  108. Bulldawg36

Cleveland won their first title in 52 years!! I was in envy watching them celebrate!!! It’s time for UGA to win a championship of some kind!!!!! It’s time!!!!!!!

  109. Bulldawg36

Pretty horrible tweet. Lebron is the best basketball player in the world. He has proved it over and over.

  110. MMCSDAWG

Greg Poole So is there a little cleaning of the cupboard with Pruitt back in Alabama?  Maybe these guys don’t like what they are seeing or hearing from the new staff…

  111. Reddawg13

Greg Poole AlphaDawg dsw61 I agree, we get who we get, the coaches we have now have the ability to coach up whomever that is! So, I will sit back and watch this machine crank up! “It Can Be Us!”

  112. MMCSDAWG

deltonadawg DawgDaddy THoughts and prayers lifted for your grandson and the family!

  113. dsw61

Greg Poole Would make sense. Been with Kirby for three years and has been coached by Tucker. Knows Kirby’s system.

  114. MMCSDAWG

Greg Poole TeeHDawg Ditto, If a player starts as a true freshman on the OL, your OL depth chart isn’t where you want it to be.  Maybe 1 in 1000 OL are ready to start in the SEC day one regardless of stars.

  115. dsw61

AlphaDawg dsw61 I think the 8 3* commit day was hilarious. I know some Tennessee fans who weren’t very impressed with that haul.

  116. AlphaDawg

Oh and just to wrap up all the UT talk. I just did the check. UGA has only offered 2 of their 17 commits.

  117. Greg Poole

TeeHDawg   One has to assume that Kirby is very familiar with Leatherwood and would not be shy about offering if there was any chance.
I never assume that a OL will contribute as a frosh regardless of star ranking – unless the current OL sucks, that is.

  118. TeeHDawg

I think he would be a plan C offer. He is a very good player and will be a good S or RB wherever he goes.

  119. TeeHDawg

Thanks. These two guys are day 1 contributers. Both are potential candidates to be the top OT this cycle. I saw where Smith was offered but I’m shocked by Leatherwood not being offered.
Leatherwood would more than likely RS at Bama or at least contribute very little as a true freshmen. And Smith has a chance to start with him being an early enrollee. If I’m either recruit, I would want to play for someone like Pittman and beat down UGA’S door to come play.

  120. AlphaDawg

Greg Poole AlphaDawg dsw61 Yes sir, it’s a long term investment. You’re 40/60 model of stocks and bonds

  121. Greg Poole

AlphaDawg dsw61  People get too riled up about the day-to-day of recruiting. It is like the stock market. The payoff is in the long term.

  122. Greg Poole

DawgLink  His relationship with UGA is hard to read and apparently has been off/on for both sides.

  123. AlphaDawg

dsw61 a lot of tennessee talk over the weekend. Some of these Georgia faithful on twitter get too rilled up about UT waiting to have 8 people commit at once. They still don’t understand the mentality of Booch. He’s all show. So what UT stole the spotlight for a few hours? We’ve got 6 less recruits than them and we’re still two spots ahead.

  124. DawgLink

After reading the article about Jaymest, do you think the “seeing the light” is about committing to the G?

  125. Greg Poole

TeeHDawg   UGA has not offered Leatherwood. My guess is that Kirby would have done so months ago if he thought there was a shot at him. Trey Smith has been offered but UGA does not appear to be a serious contender for him.

  126. dsw61

Even though Eason played against the #2 defense in the Spring game; the first Ridley pass, the first Mckenzie pass, and the Reggie Davis pass; were still very impressive.

  127. TeeHDawg

Morning guys. Quick question about our OT recruiting. Granted we are currently zeroing in on Thomas, Gray, Wilson, and Eze, what about the other T from Tennessee, Trey Smith and current Alabama commit Alex Leatherwood? Do we possibly make a run at these two also?

Hope Kirby has his antenna up for shenanigans surrounding Gibbs’ recruitment. Some Tennessee faithful seem to think Georgia has “No Chance”. Definitive statements like often times are a red flag.

ZippyMorocco deltonadawg DawgDaddy We are waiting on my daughter to update us on how he is doing. Will be going to see him this morning if he gets operated on. If the appendix response to the medication he will not have to have the operation so we are hoping he will not have to be operated on.
