NEWS & NOTES: After Georges committed to UGA on January 31st, six months later, he then de-committed on May 22nd. The question is can the Bulldogs pull back Dononvan to the “G?” And question No. 2, will the Georgia coaching staff take an ILB in the 2018 recruiting class after taking four linebackers in the 2017 class. While there is always a chance, I would not be surprised if Donovan ended up at Miami but his recruitment is wide open at the moment.

NEWS & NOTES: Okwu is very athletic and has performed well in camps. He is also a warrior in the weight room. Now, he gets a chance to put that athelictic potential and strength to the test on the grid iron with the McEachern varsity football team. While still raw, Okwu has the potential to be an enforcer in the middle of field. His athleticism and speed will remind you a little bit of Roquan Smith. Okwu and McEachern dropped their season opener on the road to Mill Creek 23-19. They get this weekend off before hosting Grayson on September 1st.

NEWS & NOTES: Scroggs is another talented Peach State linebacker prospect for 2019 getting interest from programs but no major offers as of yet. Part of that reason is that Scroggs played behind 2017 LSU enrollee Tyler Taylor and GT enrollee TD Roof last season. But he is an ILB to keep your eye on in the Peach the next couple of years. Don’t be surprised to seem him garner double digit offers from FBS programs before he finishes his senior season in 2019. After Buford manhandled Hillgrove 41-17 this past weekend, they look to host Melbourne Central Catholic on this upcoming Friday night, August 25th.

NEWS & NOTES: Starks is considered one of the top ILB prospects for the class of 2019. With Georgia likely just taking one or none ILB prospects in the 2018 cycle, look for the Bulldogs coaching staff to potentially take two in 2019. But can they beat out instate favorite LSU? Still a long way off for NSD 2019.
