biggityben  Night Biggity. Thanks for hanging with us tonight. And yes sir! 7 days to go; so, that is game week in my book

  2. Bulldawg Bob2

biggityben Greg and I talked a little bit about that this week.
They could have held one today after the media was ushered out, which they were pretty quickly.

  3. biggityben

Bulldawg Bob2 Any idea if there is a scrimmage tomorrow?  I feel like I heard that they are being tight lipped about it.

  4. Bulldawg Bob2

Cal with the 34-14 lead looks like going into the half.
Don’t know if I’ll watch the 2nd half of this one.

  5. Bulldawg Bob2

biggityben Bulldawg Bob2 PlumbDawg Same goes for North Hall HS up there in Hall County. They still play East Hall, White Co, and Lumpkin, but gone off the schedule are Hart County and Stephens County along with their long-time rival Gainesville HS.
It’s weird not to see NHHS and GHS not playing each other.

    PlumbDawg
Murray Poole seemed to think so on the podcast this past week, but he did say Coffee county would be a tough test for them. Looks like that would have been a good game with it being 21-20.

  7. biggityben

Bulldawg Bob2 PlumbDawg Very true.  I went to Cartersville and I couldn’t tell you anyone they play now.

  8. Bulldawg Bob2

biggityben Bulldawg Bob2 Hahaha. Yep. He’s streaky. When he’s bad, he’s bad, but when he’s on, he’s pretty good. You just never know which QB he is going to be from one series and one pass to the next.

  9. PlumbDawg

They used to never beat us. Remember the first time they did they tore down the goal post. Kinda sad situation for Appling. All our rivals have grown and moved up in class. We are stuck playing people we don’t have much history with.

  10. biggityben

Bulldawg Bob2 Lucky for Cal, Hawaii’s QB is not terribly accurate.  Of course I say that and he’ll make me eat my words on this drive.

  11. Bulldawg Bob2

PlumbDawg I don’t know PlumbDawg. Don’t much about Vidalia’s HS football team. I’ll have to ask Murray Poole on the next podcast.

  12. PlumbDawg

Is Vidalia supposed to have a good team? I know McBride gets all the attention but didn’t know about the rest of the team.

  13. Bulldawg Bob2

Cal should have more depth than Hawaii, and it looks like they might start to be pulling away. Have to see if the Golden Bears can play some defense though.

  14. biggityben

Bulldawg Bob2 biggityben RobDawg Yeah seems like since Tedford left, they just haven’t been the same.  I remember there were times that they were busting up USC’s season.

  15. Bulldawg Bob2

biggityben Bulldawg Bob2 RobDawg True. Cal is one of those programs that seems like they should be better than they are, but just cannot seem to break thru.

  16. biggityben

Bulldawg Bob2 biggityben RobDawg I wouldn’t disagree with that if he had gone to USC, Oregon, UCLA, etc.  However, Cal’s cup is not runneth over with 5* talent to compete with. But, your point is well taken.

  17. Bulldawg Bob2

biggityben RobDawg  Recruiting rankings in college football should not be compared the same as draft picks in the NFL.
There is a huge leap from high school football to college football, especially major FBS football. While Cal is not the SEC, the PAC-12 is not a mid-major conference either.
I know he headed west, but he still would have been a big pick up for Georgia’s 2016 class if he had chosen the Dawgs.

  18. biggityben

RobDawg Yeah but the nations’ number 1 overall athlete?  He is also supposed to play more than one position.

  19. RobDawg

In fairness shouldn’t really think of that as freshman in big boy SEC football at that position. Godwin had to but normal years a frosh shouldn’t

  20. biggityben

JaxDawg I believe the first play from scrimmage for Cal was a long toss to him.  He caught it out of bounds.

  21. biggityben

I’ll say one thing, if Drob has one play (that I’ve seen) on Cal’s team, he wouldn’t be sniffing the field at UGA.

  22. Bulldawg Bob2

biggityben Bulldawg Bob2  He does seem more focused; so, aye. I do hope it translates. He has a ton of potential. It would be a huge help to the young defense up front for him and Bellamy to have big years at OLB.

  23. JaxDawg

Hasn’t had a play yet but he prob will get into the rotation. The defenses haven’t been playing too well
