Jamyest to South Carolina. Wish we could have pulled him but best of luck to him, except for when he plays us

  2. Bulldawg Bob2

75tranzam Avon Barksdale  I was thinking the same thing about Davis. I think he would fit in at ILB just fine in Coach Smart’s and Coach Tucker’s defense, but T.Davis has said he doesn’t think he could play under the current rules when it comes to targeting.

  3. 75tranzam

    Avon Barksdale
Geno Atkins to anchor the DL with Trent. I’m not sure Thomas Davis would fit Kirby’s defense now and the targeting rule would really hamper his style of play I think.

  4. TtownDawg

My local dogs, A 4a team beat a visiting 6a team from Effingham Co. last night 35-21, it was 14 all at the half. We head up to Jefferson next Friday and I’m a bit worried about that one.

  5. Avon Barksdale

Just for fun: if you could add one of these three guys back on our team for this season, who would it be – Thomas Davis, Justin Houston, or Geno Atkins??

  6. Bulltoad

So I just watched the ESPN National Preview show and they give us a ZERO percent chance to make the college football playoffs.  They had 28 teams with a chance and we are not included.  I guess the experts are convinced you cannot win with a freshman QB.

  7. Joe Dawg

Bulldawg Bob2  Camden got smoked by Venice FL 46 – 17. We don’t have the talent we normally have. Sophomores class looks very good.

  8. RobDawg

Smh I don’t think they have a legit TE. Was Lynch top 25 TE in league? I don’t know but Falcons have been lacking for three seasons there

  9. RobDawg

It has to be highlight of the year. So far…. There’s only been two weeks so yeah I’m with Bob best thing I’ve seen yet this year

  10. RobDawg

Chores done, gonna stretch out on couch and half watch this Bears and Chiefs game in between snoozing

  11. Bulldawg Bob2

75tranzam bahits  Understand where you are coming from, but the coaches and AP polls really don’t matter as much as they used to with the College Football Playoff system. The only poll I am really concerned about in regards to the Dawgs is that CFB Playoff one that comes out on November 1st at 7 p.m. ET

  12. Greg Poole

Bulldawg36  22 million potential viewers. TV is always about the potential audience, which is another way of saying it is about the $$$.

  13. Bulldawg Bob2

DawgDaddy  I went to bed after when  I finished up work. It was Cal leading 41-24 about midway thru the 3rd QTR.

  14. Bulldawg Bob2

Avon Barksdale  Wyatt is the kind of defensive lineman that probably can play at DT and SDE with his athletic ability, and he is a guy that can probably play different techniques.

  15. rugbydawg79

75tranzam bahits With all do respect – why in the world does it even matter- all that will take care of itself

  16. Bulldawg36

Why are they showing a Pennsylvania high school team vs an Ohio high school??????? ESPN gets on my durn nerves man!!!!!

  17. RobDawg

Wait I thought you have been trying to convince us to be ready for Lambert to be our starter and deal with that….. You flipping on me?

  18. Bulldawg36

I don’t blame ya fella. You should get you a seat back to help with those hard bleachers!!!!

  19. Bulldawg36

Start Jacob!!! Play em the entire year!!! We don’t want to start over next with an inexperienced qb!!! We probably aren’t winning a championship anyways. So we should just and live and die with whatever mistakes he makes!!! Go dawgs

  20. Bansai buckeroo

I’ll admit my view of Legge may be somewhat skewed. Just can’t stand the man..it all goes back to a recruiting show he had a few years ago. His ego and arrogance dealing with the pubic was unbelievable….anyway that’s my last comment in case he has some fans here….

  21. AllDawg89

Sorry I haven’t got into much conversation lately always working and working on my big day at that.On the other hand next Saturday we will be watching our bulldogs play in the dome I’m getting anxious!

  22. dsw61

I’ve been looking forward to going to the Grayson-IMG game for months….and have decided not to go. Apparently the gates open at 4:00, and I’m just not willing to sit on those bleachers for that many hours. Traffic is also going to be a mess. My daughter is going with some friends though, and I’m sure I’ll be getting some texts about the atmosphere in the stadium. I’m sure it will be rocking.

  23. Frankly

    dsw61
I don’t think its misdirection because just before Eason got all the time with the 1’s, Legge’s source was saying that Ramsey was having the best camp with Eason 3rd.  His source has several friends on the team.

  24. DawgDaddy

Greg Poole That would be great to get the players in the Dome at least once before heading to ATL for the game.

  25. Greg Poole

dsw61 I understand why you say that, but I see no reason for misdirection. Kirby can simply say nothing but he can not start a guy who does not get the gameplan reps. Therein lies the problem, lots of people are going to see what happens at practice and a few of them will talk. So, it doesn’t really matter what Kirby does or says, it is his practice actions that matter.

  26. Greg Poole

    THE PROCESS® 2.0

Experiencing The Process® is one thing. Imitating it is another. Jimbo Fisher took Florida State to the top of the mountain with his version. Jim McElwain has shown great promise in his short career as a head coach. But heed the warnings that are Will Muschamp and Derek Dooley.
Implementing The Process® is a delicate process. The first step is having that presence of a totalitarian leader. Saban is not a big man but he can bring a https://youtu.be/QiM2U9AiQRM. He takes control of every aspect of his program. He is a calculated man and everything he does and everything he says, has a purpose towards helping his team succeed. Can Smart inspire his team to play an FCS cupcake https://youtu.be/l-9BRWf9Jws? Can he get his team to buy in every day, every rep, every study hall, every second of every day for the span of each player’s college career at Georgia?
The first clues will emerge on September 3rd in the Georgia Dome against North Carolina.

  27. dsw61

bahits I’ve always felt like Georgia’s ranking is closely tied to Chubb’s health. If he shows out against UNC, I think the ranking goes up a few spots.

  28. dsw61

Greg Poole Bansai buckeroo Stumbled onto Legge’s piece yesterday. He writes it as if he has inside sources. It wouldn’t surprise me if Kirby is doing some miss direction. My gut though says that Chaney isn’t going to be overwhelmed with the idea of starting a true freshman. I put Chaney right up there with Jimbo, Spurrier, and Kiffin when it comes to managing a freshman QB.

  29. Avon Barksdale

Interesting interview with Malcolm Parrish. He gets my vote for most underrated player on the team!

  30. Bansai buckeroo

Dean Legge will report this in about an hour…he’s always a little late to the game.. I usually get an email from scout 30 minutes after I hear news here…..smh

  31. bahits

75tranzam bahits Week 3’s mega matchup looks to be OSU vs Oklahoma @ Oklahoma.  I sure hope the okies don’t wet the bed.

There are several other currently top 25 teams going head to head in week 3.  Looks like things start heating up.  🙂

  32. 75tranzam

    bahits
I’ve noticed we never get big bounces from wins like other teams do, even if we crush UNC I bet we only move up 2 or 3 spots.

  33. bahits

The monday night game makes it 4 top 25 matchups.  That seems like gold compared to week 2.  ZERO top 25 matches at this point.

    That is horrible.

  34. Greg Poole

247 now has up a “Dawgs Going with Eason?” tease that is also behind the wall. That is probably what Radi has reported at Rivals.

  35. DawgLink

I think CKS and crew will ease him in eventhough he is unlimited now. Can’t be too careful with him if we get quality snaps from him

  36. Avon Barksdale

Sony adds another dimension to the offense that makes us tough to stop! Would love for Holyfield to get a ton of carries and rest Chubb!

  37. Greg Poole

bahits  That’s a stretch. Their guys were not there any longer than Michael ande I.  Although, I think that Eason and Lambert have been the top 2 for a while.  Ramsey, as a RS Junior, has always been the odd-man out.

  38. DawgLink

Agreed Boss. I think it will be a committee. Maybe 10 to 15 carries Chubb and the others splitting the rest

  39. bahits

interesting.  Old Cheese Wiz and FSU playing on Monday night.   Go FSU!!!!!

I hate pulling against SEC, but can’t stand Freeze and gang.

  40. bahits

Greg Poole Avon Barksdale AJC is pushing that Ramsey is now out of the top 2 and just appeared to be signalling from the side.

In other words, he will probably be the starter.  lol

  41. Greg Poole

Avon Barksdale  Of course, if it is that Eason will start, that has been reported elsewhere.

  42. bahits

Avon Barksdale If he is the kid we saw running track in those videos, his team should have used him at RB a little.  They had a very unproductive offense.

  43. Avon Barksdale

Radi is reporting something interesting behind the pay wall. Am I allowed to summarize it??

  44. Greg Poole

I’m guessing Sony plays but we will probably see several backs in this game. It would be nice if UGA could get a lead and give all the backs some game reps.

  45. Greg Poole

This morning I’ve been getting my article ready for the first print edition of the season that will hit the streets Tuesday. Emailed it in and went “WHEW”

  46. Greg Poole

Bansai buckeroo  No, it will be the usual gameweek availability on Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday.

  47. Avon Barksdale

I’m wondering if he’ll truly be a tackle or perhaps instead a massive strong side defensive end???

  48. bahits

I didn’t know that Watt has this kind of game.  He is a great get!  From the above article…

…it is hard for even the best analyst to break down players they never see.Wyatt flipped from South Carolina to Georgia earlier this month. (Jeff Sentell/AJC)
That seems to be the case with UGA commitment Deconte Wyatt.  Wyatt has uncommon athleticism for a 295-pound defensive tackle, but he’s only rated as a 3-star. Wyatt is the lowest-rated player among Georgia’s 14 commitments for 2017.
He wasn’t able to attend the exposure camps that typically spark early offers and lofty recruiting rankings early in high school.
Yet what he does on the field will matter more than any of those rankings.
Wyatt dominated in his season debut last week. According to GHSF Daily, the 6-foot-3 senior had 11 solo tackles, four assists, 4.5 sacks and six total stops behind the line.
He also blocked a punt, forced a fumble and netted a safety in a 6-2 loss to Forest Park.

  49. Avon Barksdale

Chaney likes to stretch the field. I’m starting to think that Reggie Davis will have a more pronounced role for us this year.
I know we don’t have an AJ Green in our receiving corps, but we’ve got a nice group! A good OC like Chaney will know how to utilize them!

  50. Greg Poole

bahits One does not have to guess. Kirby said specifically that he has to block with the same intensity that he runs routes. I don’t see any issue there. It’s just Kirby letting them know that everyone has to play the game completely. You don’t get to pick your spots.

  51. Avon Barksdale

True. Hopefully Kirby is just trying to motivate him. He was very new to the position last year and even though he has the physical tools to be a star, sometimes it just takes a little while. It would be a huge jump to go from where he was last year to being our ‘go to’ guy! I think he’ll be a significant part of the rotation but I think expecting him to be ‘the guy’ this year may be asking too much. The kids got a bright future for sure though!

  52. bahits

‘ I never thought I’d witness a high school game with more than 25 Power 5 prospects on the field. But the number that will be on the field at Grayson for the IMG tilt should be at least 50.
“It is probably an unprecedented game in that regard,” IMG Academy coach Kevin Wright said.
That’s why it makes sense to see that 6 p.m. kickoff on ESPN2 on Saturday night.’

  53. bahits

Avon Barksdale The way that Godwin has been getting heat from Kirby, I seriously doubt we will see him in wilddawg anytime soon.

I don’t know what the issue is, but some have guessed not blocking well and maybe taking plays off.  Whatever the case, I hope it gets resolved.  He is a super talented young man.

  54. Avon Barksdale

If I was Chaney, I’d go wild dawg to Godwin on the first play…just to mess with us. Then bring in Eason and Chubb for the second play – the crowd would explode!!!

  55. Avon Barksdale

I’ll tell you what…I’m VERY excited about the future of this program! Sounds like David Marshall is playing well and is in a position to receive considerable playing time! Same with Kindley! These were two 3-star prospects barely a blip on the national radar, but our staff scouted them out and we’ve got two of the best in the business coaching them up! Add Trent, Rochester, Carter, Clark, Cleveland, all the guys were bringing in with this class….we’re going to be kicking butt and taking names in the LOS for years to come! Oh by the way, we’ve got some guys named Eason, Fromm, possibly Lawrence slinging it!!!

  56. Bulldawg36

I traveled yesterday!!!! Went to Lula, homer, Maysville, Baldwin, Commerce & cornelia!!!!!!!!!!

  57. haws1178

I sure have been impressed with the reports I’ve heard about CKS . I ready to see how he has transformed our Dawgs

  58. haws1178

I’m with you on that . I wish it lasted year round but I doubt my budget or marriage would make it lol

  59. DawgDaddy

Bansai buckeroo Yeah, I only saw 4 scores before I went to bed, there was about 3 minutes left in the first quarter.  ##

  60. Bansai buckeroo

Yep,, 1 week. Can you believe it? I almost hate for it to start because it goes so quickly. Have to savor every minute…haha

  61. DawgDaddy

Greg Poole Could be, but I am not conceding any games, I think we can win them all.  Now will we win them all is the question.

  62. Hobnailboot aka RobG

Good Morning Dawg Nation!!! hopefully today is the last weekend I have to work for a few months
