Yes. New avi. Just put it on a few weeks ago. Haven’t had time to post much, just lurk a little. Avi is a picture of a picture of Sanford my youngest son gave me for Father’s Day last year.

  2. 66DAWGnNC

I’m just checking in Rummy. Been on the road. In Augusta for the night, then traveling to Macon tomorrow for my neice’s wedding. Saw where the lady Dawgs thumped the Gators to advance to the CWS. All I got to say about that is Go Dawgs and it’s great to be a Gator hater.

  3. DawgLink

UGA softball advanced to WCWS with win over Florida. Dang sweet too.
OM is in for it. They going down.
    Jake Edwards transferring.
Sitting pretty with several big recruits. Some visiting this weekend.

  4. DawgDaddy

RumRunnerDoogie Just checking back in, I have my great grandson for a week and he is pretty much my priority right now.  What’s been happening?

  5. DawgLink

Florida had crappy defense in this game. Crazy thing is they had the #1 defense in the nation.

  6. RumRunnerDoogie

Greg Poole lol first number 1 seed to not make it out since bama in ’10

  7. RumRunnerDoogie

RobDawg yet they wont blame the short stop for messing up that routine fly ball that rolled foul and next pitch UGA hit the first HR

  8. RobDawg

It was bang bang play but the throw was high and did make her jump up to catch and her foot came off briefly. Maybe it came back down in time but make a clean throw and it’s done. I loved it

  9. RumRunnerDoogie

DawgLink the claim the girl on first was thrown out when the first baseman had to jump to catch the throw

  10. DawgLink

How is a 2r HR to center an umpire’s fault? Excuses excuses lizards. You got chomped!

  11. RobDawg

I literally jumped off the couch when she hit it and started clapping. The perfect ending to that game where we were the team that wanted the whole series the most

  12. RumRunnerDoogie

Greg Poole disney couldnt of done better with that ending right there, no joke

  13. RumRunnerDoogie

nothing better than 2 strikes, 2 outs to rip the hearts out of the gators and taking down the number 1 team

  14. MMCSDAWG

Right. Love seeing Dawgs crush gator hopes! Pretty clutch pitching and defense by the lady Dawgs too

  15. RumRunnerDoogie

MMCSDAWG against a pitcher who had only lost 1 game all year too. dannnggggg

  16. MMCSDAWG

WOW. WHAT A PINCH HIT. HOLBEIN L HOME RUN. lady dirt Dawgs going to world series!

  17. RobDawg

Yes that’s what I meant -not being able to add the tags. Otherwise it seems to be working

  18. Jesse1

Greg Poole Aw, come on out and say it. They are Ole Miss. No sacred cow in the land of Faulkner. Though no school will come away without losing some blood, when allegations such as the above are made to stand.

  19. Greg Poole

I am on my Android now. No problems but it does not seem to add the tag. That is probably by design.
What do you mean by “not functioning?”

  20. Jesse1

Greg Poole No, but within 24 months max, expect to see a lot of fresh new faces in Faulknerville. What the hell. They just wanted to be in the convo for a moment. Most knew it wasn’t gonna last. But the long suffering, once mighty Rebels, did put a bee in Bama’s bonnet a couple more times than the time i care the most about has of late.

  21. Jesse1

Greg Poole In all seriousness, I would prefer paying $100 for an SEC game or a credible Power-5 team with a pulse. And a Dub to see Nicholls St, La-Anywhere other than Baton Rouge or Charleston Southern, Buffalo, etc.

  22. Jesse1

MMCSDAWG Greg Poole Alright. So. Briles is gone, for all practical purpose and intent. Is there a line at Ladbrooke’s as to when Freeze da Cheese is kicking rocks down the road to the NFL?  I doubt he’ll be in Oxford in 17′. Call me Thomas der Doubt.

  23. Jesse1

Greg Poole FWIW: $400 in 88′, Dooley’s last season, clocks up to $904 in 2016 when adjusted for inflation and all that. However, the contribution is “tax deductible.” Smile fellows, it’s almost time for some “Goats Head Soup.” 😉

  24. Jesse1

MMCSDAWG Greg Poole UTK has strong tradition, and thus will usually have players. Baylor and Ole Miss? Both have come far in recent years. Lotta points and all that. But ain’t won squat. Now we know why. Character matters.

  25. RobDawg

So if the iPad and the Android cell phone are not functioning for me is there a setting in livefyre I need to check?

  26. Jesse1

Greg Poole Exactly. This ain’t the Braves or Flounders and a cheap date on the range.

  27. Jesse1

DawgLink He was damaged goods the day he arrived. The previous staff often tried to catch lightning in a jar, hoping some of these guys who really were on a lot of big time schools wish list ( before injuries) would pan out. Trammell Terry was another guy who never overcame the knee.

  28. PTCDawg

Greg Poole  Greg, are the Tunsil payments spelled out somewhere or is that something that is expected to be spelled out soon? I would like to read about that if its in one of the articles. Or is this the $800 that is mentioned in the SBNation article?

  29. RobDawg

Cheesy fans in the house too. My parents live in that area so I can say that. Very rough people in that area

  30. RumRunnerDoogie

RobDawg not only that if u are going to call it dont look around then call foul well afterwards

  31. RumRunnerDoogie

softball dawgs take on the gatuhs at 5 on espn2, if they win they go to the world series. If UF wins they force a game 3

  32. RobDawg

@Greg Poole I am testing this from my Android cell phone which I rarely use for BI. Did this work?

  33. Dawgsrulegumpsdrool2

I’ll be coaching in the 7 on 7 tournament in Athens on the 9th. You gonna be there?

  34. DawgLink

Ooh. That’s gonna hurt the defense.. Mr. Prosecutor anything else? U0001f61cU0001f61cU0001f61b

  35. RumRunnerDoogie

Greg Poole RumRunnerDoogie yea, quantity over quality no more. which is the “big one” tho

  36. Greg Poole

RumRunnerDoogie It will be sooo much better with the limited attendance. Last year was a zoo.

  37. RumRunnerDoogie

Greg Poole RumRunnerDoogie yea and to show how different “dawg night” has changed

  38. Greg Poole

RumRunnerDoogie I’m thinking it has more to do with getting publicity for the camps and showing the kids in Athens (varsity camps).

  39. RumRunnerDoogie

Greg Poole RumRunnerDoogie yea that is strange. Guess hes gotta throw ya a bone every now and then to keep ya interested haha

  40. RobDawg

I did a bunch of settings change and a reset and I still don’t seem to be able to tag anyone

  41. Greg Poole

RumRunnerDoogie That is correct but the tag does stay possible for a while after they leave .

  42. Greg Poole

    DawgByte “A bit more business savvy” is a pretty low hurdle in this case ;-}

  43. RumRunnerDoogie

Greg Poole RobDawg it seems i can only tag people that are on BI at the moment. been that way and just figured thats how it was supposed to be

  44. DawgByte

MMCSDAWG It should be clear to all the Greg McGarity bit off more than he can chew in his current position. Time to cut ties with him and move on to somebody that’s a bit more business savvy.

  45. Greg Poole

RumRunnerDoogie I’m kinda surprised that they are doing this – letting media in, that is.

  46. Greg Poole

Just received notice that we WILL be able to attend the camps next month. We will not be allowed to interview campers or partents but can take stills and video.

Hey, hey – something to publish in June.

  47. Greg Poole

RobDawg  Not sure why it is doing that but LF is an old and well-tested service that has no published problems with any device, that I’m aware of.

  48. Greg Poole

MMCSDAWG  Yep. The sad thing is that he, of course, knew that there would be a couple of reporters there. I’m guessing they thought it would be a good idea for that tidbit to be printed. SMH

  49. RobDawg

Yes @DawgDaddy but as you can see something hosed up when I am trying it on this ipad

  50. RobDawg

@Greg Poole Hmmm nope that didn’t happen. I am also frequently having to sign in whereas I did not before. I recents updated my iOS version on this iPad so who knows if I screwed something up in doing so

  51. MMCSDAWG

Greg Poole A who lot to do about nothing…   Dang that was long winded and wordy for something that could have been written in 25 words or less.  Like you’ve said, it’s down time in CFB, but don’t tell Baylor and Ole Miss that…haha!

  52. RobDawg

Has to sit out this season so can’t haunt us this fall, right? I hope he does awesome for the Eagles and will get some good playing time to ready for next level

  53. Greg Poole

RobDawg   Try typing the @ and the screen name. The names of folks who are around will  pop up and you can select the one you want

  54. DawgDaddy

RobDawg It automatically pops up when I hit reply, I sometimes leave it but if it is a long string of names I usually backspace it out.  Is that what you mean?

  55. RobDawg

I guess I’m just a dummy but are you supposed to reference the BI name of the person you are commenting to each time? And if so how do you get that cute blue @Greg Poole thingy in your reply?

  56. Greg Poole

MMCSDAWG LOL – they were relying on leaving black the one’s they didn’t know. Wonder how many they didn’t know they didn’t know?

  57. MMCSDAWG

RobDawg heck no, that would have thrown a red flag from hell!  Probably more like 16-18…  Whatever was needed for minimum NCAA acceptance!

  58. RumRunnerDoogie

MMCSDAWG Greg Poole and they still havent recovered, granted ole miss is traditionally only good 1 out of 10 years

  59. MMCSDAWG

Greg Poole Sounds like something similar to the Reggie Bush case @ USC to me.  Someone paying Momma’s bill and his bills.

  60. MMCSDAWG

Greg Poole MMCSDAWG Right…  Played 3-4 years while not being eligible…  Sounds like a 3-4 year bowl ban to me.

  61. Greg Poole

When they get to the deal with the admin person talking about making payments to Tunsil that is going to be the killer. It implies that regular payments were being made from a level above the coaching staff. That will be BIG trouble.

  62. Greg Poole

MMCSDAWG See my post at the top of the thread. I think the test fraud will be tough for NCAA to swallow with just a few schollies as a chaser.

  63. Bulldawg36

I hope the NCAA isn’t done with them yet! I know they have their shovels ready! Keep digging!!!!!

  64. Greg Poole

This is the violation that will probably prompt NCAA to not accept the OM offer of sanctions:

The NCAA says former Rebels assistants Chris Vaughn and David Saunders instructed recruits to take the ACT college entry exam at a specific high school in Wayne County, Miss., in June 2010.
As they were taking their tests, Vaughn and Saunders instructed the recruits to leave blank any answer space for a question they weren’t confident about answering correctly, the NCAA says. This would, in turn, allow the correct answers to be filled in later, giving these players higher scores — presumably so they’d qualify to play at Ole Miss.
As a result, the NCAA says three Ole Miss players competed while they weren’t really eligible during the 2011 season, and one of those players continued to play while ineligible for three more seasons, through 2014.
Ole Miss agreed in its response that the testing fraud happened, though the school was light on details of what exactly went down. Ole Miss says there’s no evidence that anybody at the school with the exception of the two former assistants was involved.
    http://www.sbnation.com/college-football/2016/5/27/11797880/ole-miss-ncaa-notice-of-allegations

  65. MMCSDAWG

Greg Poole RIGHT!!!  the fact that 8 out of the 13 football violations occurred on Freeze watch makes him look like an idiot to me…  Will the NCAA accept their self-imposed sanctions?  how quickly will the NCAA move on the Tunsil stuff, I see where Ole Miss is asking them to wait until after the season.  Damn that, break out the hammer and crush Mr. hypocrite H. Freeze and his merry band of Lying minions!

  66. Greg Poole

IF NCAA lets Ole Miss get by with the self-imposed sanctions, the next round will surely be worse. Remember the Tunsil disclosures from draft day are not included in this round. Freeze may get frozen out before this is over.

  67. MMCSDAWG

In honor of Memorial Day I would like to send out my personal thanks to all those who have served our great nation (military/civil/law enforcement and/or any type of service to our country)  and especially to those who made the ultimate sacrifice that we can all be free to spend our time here or however we so choose.  Here’s a quote I’ve always liked from Stormin Norman http://www.quotery.com/authors/norman-schwarzkopf/…

” It doesn’t take a hero to order men into battle. It takes a hero to be one of those men who goes into battle.”

  68. MMCSDAWG

ZippyMorocco MMCSDAWG BenKellam It’s a holiday weekend and I probably won’t be around to post much this weekend so i cheated…lol!

  69. MMCSDAWG

BenKellam Mine would be Marcus Stroud #99 for the Jax Jaguars…  Although he wore #97 in college at UGA…lol  I cheated I know, but I still wear my old #99 Stroud Jersey to at least one Jags game a year!

  70. Greg Poole

MMCSDAWG Yep0. Practice is the same grind for everyone – might as well be practicing for Saturday rather than a maybe somewhere down the line.

  71. MMCSDAWG

Greg Poole Wish him all the luck in the world, and like I’ve said before, Players want to play and I respect that.  I believe it is better to transfer to a lessor division/league and play than to bust your butt and never sniff the field!  Best of luck to him and I hope he gets to live out his dream of playing college football somewhere!

  72. Red Dawn

Good luck to Jake. CFB is a competitive business, and when you get behind the 8 ball right out of the gate because of a bad knee injury it’s hard to recover. See Tramell Terry, Reggie Wilkerson, etc.

  73. RumRunnerDoogie

Greg Poole that school was a powerhouse forever till a few years ago, rough part of South FL tho

  74. DawgByte

RumRunnerDoogie Greg Poole Agree! Need that scholly for OL that fit Pittman’s player profile.

  75. TeeHDawg

If some of the older players don’t get quality minutes this year as well, they will transfer.

  76. BahitsAgain

PTCDawg BahitsAgain DawgByte RumRunnerDoogie Greg Poole We could have won more.

Schotty seems to be a good person, but he really messed up the offense.

  77. Greg Poole

RumRunnerDoogie Greg Poole  To expenses and then profits to the promoters – unless run by a school these events are a business

  78. PTCDawg

BahitsAgain DawgByte RumRunnerDoogie Greg Poole  yes, we only have our incompetent coaching staff to blame for only winning 10 games last year.

  79. BahitsAgain

DawgByte RumRunnerDoogie Greg Poole With the right coaches, I think Ramsey would have been more than serviceable.   Bobo would have had him putting up consistent 300+ yard games and probably 30+ TDs over the season.

  80. RumRunnerDoogie

DawgByte RumRunnerDoogie Greg Poole probably getting a lot of money on the side from big players to be this incompetent

  81. DawgByte

RumRunnerDoogie DawgByte Greg Poole Lack of leadership at the NCAA. If you make a bloody decision/ruling then stick with it.

  82. RumRunnerDoogie

DawgByte RumRunnerDoogie Greg Poole just look at LSU last year, fournette couldnt run against bama and they folded

  83. RumRunnerDoogie

DawgByte Greg Poole they really need to put a cap on how many a school can attend or hold in a year or its going to turn into the only thing they do

  84. DawgByte

RumRunnerDoogie Greg Poole Agree. It’s an example of the importance of casting a broader net in recruiting, so you can create more depth. Our QB talent level was beyond subpar to put it kindly.

  85. RumRunnerDoogie

Greg Poole Where does the money go for these players fee they have to pay to get in?

  86. RumRunnerDoogie

Greg Poole i think last season is the perfect example of why u dont have the entire offense revolve around one player

  87. RumRunnerDoogie

DawgByte come on, if u are going to be like 36 u need to put more “!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!” #

  88. godawgs678

Greg Poole He’s a Dawg. He just needs to keep things interesting until he commits

  89. Greg Poole

DawgByte The complaints are ridiculous. When I started getting season tickets in the 80’s the annual minimum contribution was $400 for upper deck seats. Factor for inflation and one can see how demand slackened in the past few years.

  90. DawgByte

Greg Poole I agree. I’ve always been mystified by our low endowment. This is a rich state and the defacto capital of the Southeast. We need more big money folks opening up their wallets and contributing to this flagship university (the new Harvard of the south). It’s embarrassing that a state like Alabama can garner the athletic support they do and we can’t seem to keep pace with them. That’s unacceptable.

  91. Greg Poole

DawgByte  It could happen. I think it is more dependent on when Kirby wants it to happen than any last minute decision by a prospect. I’m thinking an announcement (or three) will coincide with the various camps in Athens next month.

  92. Greg Poole

The Senator has a post up in which he cites some of his readers complaining about the coming increases in ticket prices via the contribution increases.
The most sacred and unassailable law of economics is TANSTAAFL (The Ain’ No Such Thing As A Free Lunch).
Georgia is going to increase spending every year for the foreseeable future. Kirby is not going to stick around if he has a built-in disadvantage when compared to the teams he must beat. He will take several years of increases just to regrade the playing field.
That new spending has to come from new revenue. The number of seats is fixed. SEC based revenue will increase but Georgia has no control over it and the other programs get an equal share. Contributions are the going to the primary source of new funds.
    Pay up or move aside.

  93. BenKellam

I think we should do our own dawg version of a thread I saw on Reddit. Since there are 99 days left before the season starts. Who is everyones favorite player ever to wear number 99?

  94. Bulldawg36

It’s true! It’s damn true!! You got to beat FLA!!! Flip the series Kirby!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  95. MMCSDAWG

DawgLink I believe he will be given a 2-3 year show cause so he’s out of coaching for a while!

  96. MMCSDAWG

Greg Poole WOW…  Great story from Dawgnation.  #ATD- Kirby doesn’t miss a beat.  Things are definitely changing in our program!

  97. DawgLink

Good morning Zip and crew. Let’s hope our softball girls take out Florida today

  98. DawgLink

Proud for the Lady Dawgs last night. I would love for them to take Florida out. 5:00 today on ESPN2

  99. Greg Poole

DawgLink  Y’all be sure to leave a comment on his post. Comments let an author know what folks think about his/her work.

  100. DawgLink

You got that right. Baylor’s review was incriminating. I still think more is coming.

  101. MMCSDAWG

Greg Poole I agree with him, UF is the most important series we play regularly and we need to turn the tide NOW!

  102. Greg Poole

My shot of Davin Bellamy as he searches for the ball that Leonard Floyd would grab and return for a TD vs. UT 2015:

  103. Greg Poole

The Baylor mess could have some impact on recruiting or some of their current players leaving.

  104. deltonadawg

Greg Poole deltonadawg I agree especially where the talk was firing the President instead of him. Some coaches will have second though’s about how they handle things after his firing.

  105. Greg Poole

deltonadawg  I think he had become bulletproof (in his mind) because of the success he has had there.

  106. DawgLink

On several boards that I have seen, their “fans” say that it’s different. Amazing how backwoods they are

  107. deltonadawg

Art Briles is not very smart. He or his staff met with the complainant without notifying the college.  http://collegefootballtalk.nbcsports.com/2016/05/26/report-says-baylor-coaches-met-with-sexual-violence-victims-and-impeded-title-ix-procedures/
