Bansai buckeroo already have issues dealing with my dog hogging to sofa, last thing i need is her hogging the remote too

  2. BahitsDawg

RumRunnerDoogie BahitsDawg Look for sCam to whine and cry and get an even better contract.  At least he has performance to show for it…. even if he is blessed with a great D.

How many QBs that we judge by wins, owe most of it to a good defense?

  3. RumRunnerDoogie

BahitsDawg RumRunnerDoogie yea doesnt sound like they really negotiated too much lol. He sure does have the potential but his rookie year was his best so far

  4. BahitsDawg

RumRunnerDoogie A fool and his money….   Luck isn’t the fool.  Smart dude, but those paying him.  smh

  5. Bansai buckeroo

Directv giving free preview of Dogtv….so far pretty disappointing…no recruiting news..##… 🙂

  6. Bansai buckeroo

Obviously DRob has changed his mind and is headed to Georgia…. ###…. 🙂

  7. dawgmum

1mandawgpack dawgmum Greg Poole Hope we’ll have something for you. I’m going to have to check out in a minute too, though.

  8. 1mandawgpack

dawgmum 1mandawgpack Greg Poole  Alright, I’m going to let you sleuths figure it out.  I’ll check back in later for the good news.

  9. dawgmum

1mandawgpack Greg Poole dawgmum I thought of Gibbs, too, but Holloman sure has been vocal lately. Dang kids, just let us know what’s going on! 😀

  10. 1mandawgpack

Greg Poole dawgmum  Isn’t Gibbs being projected more as a WR or ATH than DB?  I think it would be a shock for him to commit so early, but just with all that’s been happening with him lately, I suppose it is possible, albeit not likely.

  11. Hobnailboot aka RobG

RumRunnerDoogie it was before Hunter’s tweet, wish I knew what in the hell they were talking about

  12. RumRunnerDoogie

    well something obviously happened lol

  13. dawgmum

Greg Poole RumRunnerDoogie Holloman just tweeted “#1 Class”, for what it’s worth.

  14. Greg Poole

RumRunnerDoogie I haven’t looked around to see if anything is being rumored, have you?

  15. 1mandawgpack

RumRunnerDoogie Greg Poole  Maybe another silent.  At this point, we have 48 players committed.

  16. 1mandawgpack

Greg Poole 1mandawgpack  I could be wrong (I often am), but with 3 committed WRs with several more that we supposedly will take no matter what, I just don’t see us using our 4th WR slot on just anyone.

  17. 1mandawgpack

Greg Poole 1mandawgpack  Maybe he’s referring to the announcement by the Pace OL regarding his commitment date as QBs love playing behind a dominant OL.

  18. Greg Poole

1mandawgpack Greg Poole AlphaDawg as far as i know no one has committed. just speculation

  19. 1mandawgpack

Greg Poole AlphaDawg  I’m still lost.  Did a WR commit as that’s what I usually think of when someone makes a statement similar to the one above?

  20. DawgDaddy

Greg Poole These writers all ignore the fact that UGA has been holding it’s own against the East, SECCGs and the Bama blow-out last year being the notable exceptions the past few years.

  21. DawgDaddy

Greg Poole Like it that worse case scenario at LB is there isn’t one.  We will load the position with quality athletes.  I still want Nate McBride badly.

  22. Hobnailboot aka RobG

DawgByte I think he got it right at 9, IMO a healthy Nick Chubb is the MOST important cog in the machine for UGA this year. everything else will will get a lift if he is 100% this year, he’ll benefit Eason the most

  23. DawgByte

MMCSDAWG I read the first paragraph and quit, as it lost credibility right out of the gate with the author said we had a crazy amount of talent. Following Richt’s departure and subsequent commentary by Kirby Smart that MYTH bubble has been resoundingly burst.

    Move along.

  24. DawgByte

Lucas Rogers Greg Poole If he can land Wilson as well then Pittman will be worth his weight in gold!

  25. DawgByte

Here is my response to Huck’s #9 most important player.

I think one can make a plausible argument to make Eason the most important player in 2016. Here’s my case for why Eason should be #1 on your list.

A.) The QB position is arguably the most important on a football team. If you agree with that premise then Eason separates himself from any of the other position players on the list.
B.) Eason has all the tools and pedigree to be a transformational player. In NFL parlance he would be designated as a “Franchise Player”.
C.) The offense needs a QB who can stretch the field. Lambert cannot cannot do that and Ramsey has a proclivity for throwing INTs, leaving Eason as the only QB with the skills to take the pressure of both the OL and RB’s.
D.) If Eason plays to his 5 star abilities he’ll set a new tone for the team and make everyone around him that much better.
E.) Lastly, we need Eason like no other player on the team. He is the hope of today and tomorrow.

    No pressure!#

  26. BahitsDawg

AlphaDawg MMCSDAWG That seems like riding around in ISIS territory with a REPENT license tag.  Extremely risky.

  27. DawgDaddy

@MMCSDAWG  I played pretty poorly but had fun.  Shot an 85 with 3 fairway misses but only punch shots side ways to get back into play, plus one penalty shot.  My back is always hit or miss as to how it will be.

  28. AlphaDawg

Lucas Rogers Greg Poole UGA recruiting is killing it. On path to land 6 of the top 10 from Georgia with some very notable teens too.

Lucas Rogers Greg Poole Can’t wait to see the results on the field…  I’m expecting much more consistency this year over last!   It might take a game or two to work out some kinks, but I believe we will be hitting our stride by the time UTk comes to town and I want to whip their arses!  Big holes for Chubb to gallop thru!

  30. Greg Poole

Having a convo with Smith – he will be in Athens on July 14. He is try to stay for the CKS camp that weekend.

  31. Greg Poole

I keep telling y’all that players and prospects read this page – I just got a message from

Greg Poole BenKellam And I’m pretty sure that notice that Ole miss responded to does Not contain any of the allegations with regard to Tunsil…  They are going to get much worse than 11 scholly’s when it’s all said and done.  If not, your right, it’s open season of boosters and bag men to do their thing!

  33. BenKellam

MMCSDAWG Greg Poole Predictions look fairly promising.

  34. BenKellam

AlphaDawg Greg Poole BenKellam Forgot about that scrub. He was leaning our way pretty heavily at one point if I remember correctly.

  35. Greg Poole

BenKellam They will be penalized. They have offered to give up ii ‘ships. The only question is whether NCAA presses for more.
If the Assn. lets them off with what they offered, it is open season in recruiting.

  36. BenKellam

Greg Poole Man everyone was out for blood when this whole thing started. Now I’m fairly confident that nothing at all is going to come of this.

  37. Greg Poole

Bansai buckeroo  According to his step-father he committed to UGA twice – posted above

  38. Greg Poole

“Miller, who was dating Tunsil’s mother during the recruitment and married her in July 2014, says he provided the NCAA with text messages, e-mails and Facebook messages to back up his claims. He showed multiple Facebook and text messages to SI that appear to verify some of the claims in the NCAA Notice of Allegations. He also says he provided his bank and financial records to the NCAA, which helped investigators verify an $800 payment from a booster in August 2014. At one point, Miller says NCAA investigators took his three cell phones to capture all the data.
In one Facebook message, dated Feb. 8, 2013, Miller appears to write to Ole Miss defensive line coach Chris Kiffin: “Plz do all the u you said to help me and desiree and my 2 sons I have been ole miss biggest fan 2 times he committed to ga I was there foor u be there for us when its time ok.”
Kiffin appears to have responded: “You know I will!”
    That is interesting

  39. Bansai buckeroo

@Chief…… I was very upset when we didn’t get Tunsil….but we dodged a major bullet apparently……

Greg Poole MMCSDAWG LOL!   I know, I copied your feed to my bookmarks way back when you shared it with us……

I know, and we totally agree on the lack of administrative support that was given to CMR being a MAJOR factor that was overlooked for way too long.  We lived in a Post Jan Kemp mentality for the better part of 25 years!

Greg Poole This is the first season I can remember recently where I’m actually excited about the talent we have at WR top to bottom.   I know we are young, but there is a lot of talent in this group!

  42. Greg Poole

MMCSDAWG Yep. Bowls are no longer restrained by attendance. In fact, paid attendance is a secondary concern. Bowls are a TV product and demand is high for TV shows.

  43. Greg Poole

MMCSDAWG  MySiL sent that to me earlier today. I pointed out to him that the author is a Michigan guy. Where is Michigan’s overproduction in the last 50 years or so? Just saying that the meme that there is some kind of mystical negative karma associated with Georgia is just stupid.
There are solid reasons that UGA has not performed at a level that the talent in the state suggests. 2 bad coaching hires and a 15 year run by a good coach who was unable to get the administration to commit the resources necessary to win in today’s climate.

Greg Poole Who cares…  If my team goes 5-7 I’m not shelling out the cash to go watch them in a bowl game they don’t deserve to be in!   Too many bowls.

  45. BenKellam

MMCSDAWG BenKellam Greg Poole Havent heard much about him. But I’ll take it! Can’t have too many tall receivers.

  46. DawgDaddy

converted 1981 for some strange reason they don’t really do that, they all think that they can be like Cammy but he really was a QB not an athlete playing QB.

  47. Greg Poole

Greg Poole  LOL – I’m saying that Mr. Hubbard will learn that his predictions wiull come back to haunt him.

  48. AlphaDawg

BahitsDawg converted 1981 AlphaDawg Greg Poole Avon Barksdale Also what he aubie fan said, “he’ll come in as an ATH to be a QB and end up at WR”

This guy is smoking crack…  There is NO way in hell Eason is going to RS and there is no way in hell he is going to forgo the NFL to stay at UGA for 5 years.  His points are all based on what I believe is faulty logic.  The offense is young, and the offensive staff is new, with a new system…  How about we let them mature together with the person that will be leading them thru thick and thin.  Lambert served UGA well and I do honestly appreciate what he did last year with all the chaos that was our offensive staff.  But, my money is on Eason starting game 1 and if not game 1 he will be starting before we make the trip to Oxford.

  50. converted 1981

Score Check Greg Poole I think the lady in red played for a Willie Martinez Defense…..

  51. converted 1981

DawgLink I remember a 10′ one in a small pond in Fairburn a few years ago.  The little girl that live in the house was pitching a fit that they might actually Hurt the damn thing.  Hopefully they took her in the house and shot it right there.

  52. converted 1981

Greg Poole Hopefully this was After a piece of lead through the noggin…  Would hate to get tail whipped for Not completing the play.

  53. Greg Poole

MMCSDAWG  So am I. If he can hold it down, Georgia’s OL will improve significantly.

  54. Greg Poole

converted 1981 Yeah, but he is a senior in high school. Thinking was not a skill that I was familiar with at the age – at least, not thinking with the gray matter. 🙂

  55. BahitsDawg

converted 1981 AlphaDawg Greg Poole Avon Barksdale Will he still be a QB after Gus is shown the door at the end of the season?

Maybe, the next guy will use him to catch some footballs.

  56. converted 1981

AlphaDawg Greg Poole Avon Barksdale He needs to STOP and think!  Where is his Future in the NFL?  Probably Not at QB.

  57. converted 1981

Greg Poole Didn’t they leave off his DC guru from last year on that list.  You know the one at South Caka Lacky now…

  58. JaxDawg

Yea I think we need the space for receivers like Holloman, Webb, or possibly that guy from South Carolina

Greg Poole Top 10 defense…  Yeah right!  Not happening while he is in Auburn.  No defense will succeed when the offense can’t stay on the field for more than 2 minutes.

  60. Frankly

If the coaching staff makes decisions based on the reaction of the fan base then we hired the wrong guy.   Needless to say, I seriously doubt that is the case.

  61. AlphaDawg

Greg Poole Avon Barksdale Heard he’s probably going to Auburn as a QB since they lost the A&M kid

  62. PatriotVeteran

Greg Poole Why?    Neither of these QN’s started as true freshman.      Why do we have to compare either against Eason?      Neither were great from their first snap and all we are asking is giving this 6’6 Freshman a chance.     What if he does really well but makes a few mistakes?     Everyone says it’s hard to be a starter as a Freshman, but who knows until the first snaps are made?     Maybe he’ll just throw a couple of long passes and scores fast, than his confidence explodes and he go berserk and throws a few more to a great group of TE’s, WR’s and hand offs to Chubb and other terrific RB’s.       Things could go great from the start and all our talking about who should be QB is solved.

If Eason is sacked several times, get intercepted a couple times and trips from the pressure, than some questions will be answered, until than, give him the benefit of the doubt.       He’s smart and should know the plays by than, he’s tall enough to read the defense against him and he has a pretty darn good group of OL protecting him.        I fell “Positive about his capabilities and talent” and will say right now, if he makes a few mistakes, so what.      Unless he proves himself – from the start – I for one will give him the benefit and opportunity to  kick some butt from the first snap.

IMO the fans want to know – will he throw TD.s or fold.       I’m willing to believe, he’ll open some eyes and throw, throw, throw and hand off when necessary to his FB’s and score, score, score.   Be positive.      Anyone can be negative and say “I told you so” – but Eason will shine from the first snap for getting the opportunity to start.      GO DAWGS …. KICK SOME BUTT.

BahitsDawg MMCSDAWG converted 1981 Greg Poole Pretty sure it was Martinez his first 2 years on campus.

Avon Barksdale Real hard, but it’s been said his mom is pushing him toward Auburn, so I will have to go with Auburn on this one.

  65. Avon Barksdale

Looks like Tray Bishop will be announcing soon. What is your guys’ gut feeling on him? Hard to get a read on the kid…

  66. BahitsDawg

MMCSDAWG converted 1981 Greg Poole Murray couldn’t do anything about that horrible defense.  Was it Grantham or Martinez’s D?

  67. JaxDawg

We have slots for 2 more. Most likely Andrew Thomas and Tony Gray, with Isaiah being a long shot. I’m thinking it will be the first two

    converted 1981 Greg Poole
Great summary Converted!  I too expect a lot more from Eason as a freshman than Murray or Stafford.  The level to which QB’s, even in HS are more prepared than they were 5-10 years ago is measurable.  These kids have a huge technological advantage even Murray didn’t have.  They play football year around and compete in 7 on 7 during the off season.  Neither Murray or Stafford had this format to compete in.  The 7on7 competitions are more valuable to QB’s than any other position.  It is strictly a passing league and they get to hone their skills against tight coverages against extremely talented defenders that are given a lot latitude with respect to defensive pass interference.   It doesn’t help them with recognizing defenses and/or coverages, but it does allow them to hone their passing skills a lot!

  69. BahitsDawg

godawgs678 A slight turn on your theory.  Bring out Brice or Lambert.  Let the crowd settle down a little.  Bring in big E in the second quarter and listen to the crowd go bananas.

  70. BahitsDawg

Greg Poole Spill the beans!  Who are these “silent” commitments?  Are you now doing strategic announcements like Kirby?

  71. converted 1981

Greg Poole Could actually get 5 plus….  So which are the absolute MUST gets?

Robert Beal, Tray Bishop, Toneil Carter, Nate McBride and Jacoby Stevens for 2017.

    Trevor Lawrence for 2018.

  72. converted 1981

    Greg Poole Lets see here:

MAtthew Staffor – Freshman Season = 9 Wins and 4 Losses (Tenn, Vandy, Geyturds and Kentucky).  7 TD’s and 13 Int’s…  Love Matthew Stafford but hoping for more this year.
Aaron Murray –  Freshman Season = Injured – did Not play = Joe Cox.
Redshirt Freshman year – 6 Wins and 7 Losses (South Cacky Lacky, Hogs, Bullpups, Beefaloe, Geyturds, Barners and UCF) – 24 TD’s and 8 Int’s…  Absolutely Love AM but again hoping for more this year.

So 9 Wins would be somewhat of a disappointment (in all reality)but 6 Wins would be devastating = Recruiting!

Realistically we could/should be around 10 Wins, could do better depending on the NC Game.  Win it and things look good.  Win it Decidedly and all bets are off = Look Out.

Greg Poole Cool!   Making the best even better!  Never settle!  Just like Kirby and crew.

Dawgsrulegumpsdrool2 Also remember that Salyer is class of 18′ the other two are 17′

  75. Greg Poole

The link below takes you to an excellent article about Saban. Obviously, Smart is not Saban but I can tell you that he possesses that same type of single-mindedness. Every time Kirby talks about facilities (or almost anything else) – thin krecruiting:

” His pathological pursuit of the Process — the single-minded emphasis of preparation above all else — has become the stuff of legend. There are countless tidbits about his maniacal (some might say diabolical) nature in this regard, from the idea that he to the notion that some of his assistants The most telling anecdote: According to, not long after Alabama shut out LSU to win the 2012 national title, the coach received a congratulatory call from one of his golfing buddies. Saban’s response: “That damn game cost me a week of recruiting.”

willypmd Mediocre pretty much describes our QB play all of last season, with the USCe game being the lone exception.  So we have  Mediocre as a known commodity, I believe we have potential for greatness in our rookie, so I’m starting the new kid on the block!

  77. Dawgsrulegumpsdrool2

In theory if Andrew Thomas Jamar salyer and Isiah wilson all want to be dawgs, can we take them all?

  78. Reddawg13

Beep, beep, beep, this is a public service announcement from Reddawg13, “It Damn Sho Can Be Us!” Now back to our regular scheduled programming.

  79. Reddawg13

MMCSDAWG Greg Poole If you know how to hog tie a gator you might be a redneck……. that is also a Bulldog fan!

  80. Reddawg13

    dsw61 godawgs678 He sure doesn’t, heck he doesn’t have the mobility I like either,lol.

  81. dsw61

godawgs678 After watching highlight video of Peterman, Allen, Bray and Brees with Chaney as the OC; I will be surprised if Chaney starts Lambert. Maybe Lambert’s football IQ will win the day again; but he clearly does not have the mobility that Chaney likes in his QBs.

  82. Greg Poole

Just a heads up for the morning crew – we have some exciting stuff coming in July. Some new writers will join BI to add to the good work that Huck is doing. A couple are already committed and we are still talking with a couple of others. It should be fun. Stay tuned.

  83. willypmd

my recollection is that both Murray and Stafford were pretty mediocre at the start and were phenomenal by the end. I am expecting exactly that from Eason

  84. Reddawg13

Greg Poole Reddawg13 Yeah, and we couldn’t fry up the tail either, okay you win!

  85. Reddawg13

MMCSDAWG godawgs678 Eason is also going to give our team a big shot in the arm confidence wise. The team can also see this talent gap and they know who can make the big plays that win games. Giving a team a boost in confidence is huge!

  86. Reddawg13

godawgs678  I agree with you and this was my response to Huck’s article on Eason. Right on Huck! Eason starts game one and IS our best chance to win this year. Yeah that puts a lot of pressure on his shoulder but isn’t that why he came here in the first place? I know folks keep saying well he wasn’t against our first team D in the spring, that has nothing to do with the fact that the throws he made were spot on! His talent far exceeds anything we have right now and one can not get experience standing on the sidelines! Before we play Ole Sis we have three manageable opponents one actually weak, so he will have three games plus early enrollment, plus his work ethic, plus Chaney and that my friends is why all this will work.

  87. dsw61

Greg Poole I don’t know of any Georgia fans who expect Eason to play like Stafford or Murray from the start.

godawgs678 I agree, but for a different reason.  I truly believe the talent gap greatly exceeds the experience gap between Eason and Lambert.  Keeping in mind, that they are both learning a totally new offense.   I honestly believe Eason gives us the best chance to win and that is my deciding factor.  He may throw a few more interceptions than Lambert (2) did, but he is also going to throw more TD’s and I think the later will out weight the former.

  89. dsw61

Greg Poole Buford being a city school does not have the same enrollment restrictions as county schools. You can live anywhere in Georgia and go to Buford. Four of Buford’s Championships came in Division 2A, two in 3A. one in 4A. With the new realignment they are now in 5A. Grayson, Camden Co, Lowndes, Colquitt Co., Roswell, Norcross and North Gwinnett have down their work playing in the highest Division. All of those schools have now been moved to Division 7A.

  90. Greg Poole

godawgs678  I think CNS is playing with house money this year. Most fans are not expecting a championship, so why not put the ball in your eventual QBs hands from the jump- if the competition is close.
Almost everyone expects Eason to be the man at some point in the season anyway and the climate is ripe for experimentation – just do it, Kirby.

  91. godawgs678

I think Eason starts against UNC. Here’s why…

If Lambert or Ramsey trot out in the first series against UNC, the crowd is going to go crazy. Not in a good way. That will be a serious morale issue for the first snaps of the season. If Eason jogs out there, the crowd is going to go crazy–in a good way. He can hand off a few times, makes a couple short to intermediate throws and not take too many chances.

Also, selfishly for Kirby—this is his first game as a head coach. If he trots out a true freshman QB and we end up losing, most will blame Eason for not being ready and that this will be a rebuilding year so he can get his feet wet. If Kirby trots out a veteran and loses, the backlash will be against Kirby for not starting Eason.

    That’s just my opinion.

  92. Score Check

    Greg Poole
WR slots are filling up fast!
If we get Bishop and Webb are we done?  I don’t see us taking 6 unless Bishop commits as an athlete and Holloman commits to the G.

  93. DawgDaddy

Greg Poole I hope he doesn’t go to AU to learn how to block, we would love  to actually throw the ball to him.

  94. Greg Poole
