Greg is closing in on 15 years writing about and photographing UGA sports. While often wrong and/or out of focus, it has been a long, strange trip full of fun and new friends.

I think this is bad for UGA because this was after his Clemson visit and even though he said there’s no order to his new Top 7 he has Clemson 1 and UGA 2.

Colonial Dawg yea my pit Georgia thinks shes a 60 pound lap dog, deadliest thing about her is her tail bruising shins when shes happy hah

Saw where Jacoby Stephens was going to have some type of announcement today (probably about which all-star game?) but haven’t seen anything else on it.  Has anyone seen anything on that?  And on the pit bull issue, my son has one that he rescued after Hurricane Katrina when he was active duty Marine and flew down with Mr. Bush.  They found 4 puppies scrounging for food in Baton Rouge and loaded them up on the plane when they came back to Quantico.  He still has him, and that dog is very sweet natured.  Wants to be a lap dog desperately.  I know that all dogs are different and I agree that you never leave a dog to run unsupervised…..ANY dog.

Greg Poole I know my dog doesn’t like tobasco sauce, he barks at the bottle everytime he sees it

Yep.lol. Just too many irresponsible dog owners around here. One person let’s their German Shepard roam free and it almost got hold of me & the wife about a year ago. Iet me just say we don’t walk that way anymore. Lol

Greg Poole You are absolutely right Greg, Irresponsible owners should be severely fined and have their animals taken from them

  7. Bulldawg36

Greg..where do you buy the pepper spray from? I need to get me some so I can spray some of the mongrels around here that aren’t chained up.

  8. Bulldawg36

Why thank you dawg mum! My Sprits are up because of the new coaching staff!!! I believe we are headed in the right direction!!

It is not about the breed. People need to control aggressive dogs. I have had several incidents over the years. The main thing I have learned is that if a dog comes in the street aggressively, I spray him. Human strength pepper spray has never fail to stop one.

If you outlaw that breed, the idiots who breed them for the wrong reasons would simply move on to the next dangerous breed du jour. as a responsible Pitbull owner I can tell you my dog is extremely well-behaved, beloved by the kids in the neighborhood, and NEVER left outside unsupervised, unlike several other dogs in the neighborhood that are actually much less friendly than him…

Bulldawg36 I don’t trust any dog I’m not familiar with, especially one roaming around without an owner present

I don’t want to ban Pitt Bulls. I know some are good if they’re raised the right way. Personally I don’t trust Pitt Bulls and would never own one. Also all dogs should not be allowed to run around- they should secured. Some people let their dogs run the roads even tho they know they will attack people and other animals

DawgLink 3 big keys to owning a Pit are 1. Socialize the dog early and often and 2. teach it obediance and 3. give it tons of exercise, they are a high energy animal and become hard to deal with if they become bored and don’t have an outlet for that energy

My brother and I had a boy and girl from the same litter. Both were sweet as could be

JessCapel Greg Poole I find that comment extremely offensive, as a responsible owner of a Pit I am always with my dog and he is not aggressive towards anyone because of how I raised him. To categorize a good dog with a bad dog just because of breed is extremely narrow minded. Having said that I do think the owners of these dogs should be held to higher standard of ownership.

  16. JessCapel

Greg Poole Should outlaw that breed…tired of all that BS of how they are misunderstood.

Just got back from walking my dog. We got jumped by 2 pits. Luckily I had a can of human strength CS spray and we escaped without injury except for CS splash. Hard to type with one eye.
