I’m Jonesing for footbal and watching ESPN 2015 replays…. so ole Sharnado has taken a backseat. .. I have rewatched the ending of Michigan State beating Harbaugh with a last second punt block 5 times now…. I will be sleeping with a smile tonight 🙂
Just chillin. Hoping for some good news from the weekend visitors

Bulldawg Bob2 Hey Bob!
Yes indeed.
Good evening TM
DawgLink whats going on
Sup tm
tomorrow’s the day!! GATA
hey hey
Thanks!
Boss and Ben Jones, my kind of ball players, 3 stars playing in NFL.
biggityben Boss outworking them in New England
Desi Bigsby Jr out of Iowa CC is one JUCO DT I know Georgia has looked at
http://www.patspulpit.com/2016/7/31/12333190/patriots-center-david-andrews-is-bigger-and-stronger-than-last-year
LOL
Not much of anything. Might here something come tomorrow or later on tonight
Might. Dawgs staff has looked at a few JUCO DTs, and it would fill a need for depth for 2017 and 2018
DawgLink I haven’t seen anything.
Anything on the Twitterverse about Gibbs and Pappoe visit yet?
Bulldawg Bob2 uhh, not so much, I am ready for The Last Ship though
Bulldawg Bob2 Nope!
I wonder if there is a chance we can go after Kendell jones this year, the DT that signed with bama, I think he went JUCO?
Yea I just got too excited about Jacoby, AJ, and Jamyest. To miss on all 3 still bugs me. But fingers crossed that Jacoby is just messing with the media? We can hope
True, and even if UGA misses out on Jacob, got to like how 2017 is shaping up with LeCounte, Poole and Brini.
And could also get Gibbs and Hall.
Heh. Yep. Definitely a guilty pleasure lol
YES!! Been watching the shark movies all week, can’t stop laughing
So whose ready for Sharknado 4?
So LSU will get two other top safeties besides Jacboby and they are about to add him too. I don’t buy into the DBU stuff, but recruits do. Any school can be DBU if you land the players

Bearbuddy Thanks for posting Bearbuddy. Hopefully, he’ll pick the guys in red and black and not the ones in orange.
PTCDawg IMac is one of the best I’ve seen in a long time, but Mecole certainly has the speed and ability to be just as good.
Hobnailboot aka RobG DawgByte Aye. That they would.
DawgByte Trevor Lawrence or KJ Britt would make me smile
We need somebody to commit to the G… and soon!!!
I’m not sure upgrade is the right word but he will be very good.
http://dawnofthedawg.com/2016/07/31/top-2018-qb-trevor-lawrence-to-decide-between-uga-and-clemson-soon/
So reading the comments on Mecole, would you expect him to be an upgrade to IMac as a kick returner? IMac may be the best punt returner I have ever seen so it’s hard for me to get excited about someone taking his place for that role. Maybe as a kick returner, IMac was good there but not as good as he was as a punt returner.
The DL will look a lot like last year. There will be 4 on the LOS often but one will be an OLB.
PTCDawg Aye. I think Dawgs are very thin as far as DL goes to run 4 man front defense with 4 true d-linemen for an entire season. It would require the group to stay relatively healthy to do so, and very difficult for the big men to get through a season without a few dinks and dings.
But even though the Dawgs don’t have a ton of depth or experience up front, what they do have is some good size, talent and athleticism on that line.
Bulldawg Bob2 Given our resources I cant imagine our base D will have more than 3 DL even when Ledbetter returns.
Greg Poole Let’s make it 11 in a row!
Bulldawg Bob2 If it’s not UGA then I hope he leaves the SEC
SIAP, but worth a read if you haven’t had the chance to. Malcolm Mitchell is putting in work and turning some heads in the Patriots fall camp. Wish him all the best and much success, but I just wish he could play on a different team. Not a Pats fan.

Nice BB2
Somebody asked, and forgive me because I cannot remember who, about what we could potentially see out of Mel Tucker’s defense as far as scheme and specifically secondary coverage, zone or man?
He has run both a 3-4 scheme as well as 1-gap and 2-gap 4-3 d-line fronts over his career on the defensive side of the ball. He has also played a good bit of cover 2 and Tampa 2 type coverages out of that 4-3 front, and last year at Bama rotated the DBs between about 6 to 7 guys.
I would not be surprised to see some variation of a cover 2 or a Tampa 2 though, but it all depends on what Tucker feels he has at DB and what those men are able to grasp and do. Based on what I have seen out of Tucker, he will put the Georgia DBs in the best position to make plays and be successful, but he does like his CBs and DBs to be physical and come up and pop the runner and ball carrier.
Also, a Tampa 2 requires a very smart and athletic middle linebacker who can drop back into zone coverage on pass plays, and often offenses will try to run at the weakside linebacker to exploit this type of defense to suck down the defenders to get a big play over the top; so, the WLB has to also be a solid run defender and tackler. Sounds simple enough, but it all depends on the personnel to run a Tampa 2.
Good thing is, he has 2 experienced safeties to work with in Mauger and Sanders, and Wilson played in 11 games last year behind them. Losing Johnathan Abram hurt IMO, because I thought he played well when he was in at safety, but Tucker has some experience and talent to work with in the secondary.
MMCSDAWG I also agree 100% with that article
I just post ’em but I think the point about the value of higher grades is made.
willypmd LOL. True. Programs without a football program maybe?

Friday, Sept. 24 vs. Georgia
Record in Last 5 Meetings: 0-5
Last Year’s Result: Did not play. The last meeting was in 2012, which Georgia won 37-10,
Why it matters: LSU will likely have a better team than Georgia this year (although it could be very close). LSU is also in the SEC West, whereas Georgia is in the SEC East. So, why pick Georgia as more of a key game over LSU? It’s because of where it stands on the schedule. Georgia is game number four, coming after Florida State and the week directly following the showdown with Alabama. Expect Ole Miss to throw everything they can at Alabama. When Georgia comes to Oxford, they may find a beat-up Ole Miss team. Ole Miss has to win this game because the LSU game is a likely loss due to the location. Recent history also hasn’t been very good to Ole Miss in this series. Freeze is only 0-1 against the Dawgs, but Georgia has won the last ten meetings of the two schools.

Heck yeah! Their was a bad wreck on I-95. We got stuck out there over an hour. About ran out of gas with a prego woman in the car. Lesson learned always keep the tank on a long trip!!!!
Good question but it probably is in the 51% category or above. Just a guess on my part though.
Hey Midtown! What are you doing in the great state of Hawaii?
I’m on iOS with no problems

That tweet is all I know about the numbers.
No one can do that on a mobile device. The reason is that Livefyre is trying to keep the overhead down on mobile. If you are on a laptop and having problems there is done other issue.
Greg Poole Where does Georgia and GT fall on this scale? How about GSUn and GSUs?
I’ve cleared everything so let’s see if that helps. One other question. I still cannot tag someone like typing @Greg Poole and have it show up in my post. Any idea why that doesn’t work for me?
RobDawg There have been no server issues lately (days) and the server is operating well below capacity. Sounds like you are using all of your RAM. Restart the device might help, as well as, clearing the browser cache.
Anyone else who is running iOS to get on BI experiencing frequent problems with the website? I get an error that the website experienced problems and needs to restart. I’ve been reading posts and articles over past 20 mins or so and its already occurred twice on me. Also I am finding that while typing this post there is a noticeable lag in what words I type showing in this dialog box
I love the guy who commented on the http://bulldawgillustrated.com/kirbys-quarterback-quandary/ post. In the past, would be a little bit sarcastic with people who miss the point of a post (or respond to the title). After long experience, I have learned not to waste my time.

Malcolm Mitchell is impressing the Pats
http://georgia.247sports.com/Bolt/Malcolm-Mitchell-impressing-early-in-Patriots-camp-46511404
dirtydawgs Don’t see it ever happening at a P5 school, but understand that it mean no newspaper, radio or local TV coverage of anything associated with the program. No more beat writers, photographers, videographers at practice or new conferences.
They have removed credentials from all media except the one outlet that bought the rights.
dirtydawgs Yep
dirtydawgs they also lost a starting Lineman for the season
PTCDawg Thank you for the kind words
Greg, heartiest compliments to the changes you are making at BI. I would say you guys are on the verge of having the best Dawg Football website in the universe, except you already do. Just getting better and better and I am giving you all the credit!

dirtydawgs check out Bearbuddy post down below
Didn’t they lose their qb?
I said it over a year ago but I think Trevor Lawrence is gonna be the best arm to come out of high school in a long while. He may be the best football player out of high school in a while. We really need to sign this guy especially considering he’s from our own backyard
I remember when I said he’s better than Eason then that some like the midnight mower laughed but just watch him develop
Can’t wait for his announcement over the next couple of days
https://twitter.com/RosenbergsWrite/status/759777142989201409
I know that most folks don’t care about stuff like this, but North Dakota State University has sold its media rights to one outlet. That would be like UGA selling it’s rights to ESPN and not letting any other outlets cover anything.

Today those of us who cover the Dawgs have mixed feelings. Beginning tomorrow, we step into a 5 month long period of activity that is one part sturm und drang and one part hurry-up-and-wait. I am an adrenaline junkie at heart, so I’m ready to roll.
Tomorrow, we bring on a new intern. Michael Pope has written a few articles in the past year, but this fall he enters Grady and tomorrow he will attend his first Kirby presser and practice. Ya think he’s excited?
Having Michael at practice will enable us to provide better coverage. Last year I did video and photo. As you might suspect, when trying to do 2 things at once – both suffer.
This year gameday coverage will be a bit different. Last year Bob and I tried to get photos up within minutes of the Dawg Walk and after each half of the game. The logistics of doing that are not smooth. WiFi quality varies and photo processing quality suffers in the rush. This year Bob will concentrate on the gameday thread and we’ll load photos when we can get the best ones to you at the high quality.
Now that we have The Grit Tree boys, Bernie and Huck on board, along with the regular crew, we should push out plenty of content for you.
Let’s see now, the kid has slurred speech, eyelids drooping and can not pick up his phone – 0.0 on breathalyzer but no tests for other chemical impairment?

Awesome!!!!
Thanks for sharing.
RobDawg I was just thinking the same thing as I was reading the comments. Wow, people actually giving well thought out comments.
Well the Clempson fans are realistic and grounded unlike some SEC fans wearing orange. VolNuts responses would not have been so rational
If/when Eason starts at QB for the Dawgs he will certainly have a few growing pains getting used to SEC competition but I can’t help but think about what Josh Rosen did last year as a true Freshman. He played like a veteran QB. I’m sure there were a few mistakes and a few misread coverages but for the most part he played as good as you’d expect from an upperclassman, Who’s to say Eason can’t or won’t be able to perform at a high level as a Fr. I’m not predicting Eason to put up similar numbers as Rosen but I certainly think he could hold his own especially if Pittman is able to get the most out of the OL. GO DAWGS!!!!
Greg Poole I hope we fly under the radar to 5-0 to start the season, the more the team is doubted the bigger the chip becomes and a big chip is needed this year to have a great season

Fans may enter the stadium beginning at 1:30 p.m. and occupy the lower bowl. At the conclusion of the open practice, which is scheduled to start at 2:30 p.m. and last approximately two hours, fans wishing to participate in Fan Day will enter the field through the West End Zone field gates. Fans can start lining up at 4 p.m.
The athletic association says that, in an effort to facilitate as many autographs in the time allowed, fans are limited to two items per person and, as in recent years at the old Picture Day, fans will only be allowed to have the 2016 Football Schedule poster signed. The posters will be available as fans enter the field for the autograph session. No other items will be permitted for autographs and no posed photographs with players or Smart will be allowed.
