Greg is closing in on 11 years writing about and photographing UGA sports. While often wrong and/or out of focus, it has been a long, strange trip full of fun and new friends.

  2. Hobnailboot aka RobG

DawgLink I miss @PanicFan’s posts, he always had good music from all genre’s

  3. Hobnailboot aka RobG

Bulldawg36 why do you insist on saying someone is not as good as another everytime someone puts a video up?

  4. Score Check

    Bulldawg36
He has offers from 20+ Teams including UF, F$U, The Barn, NC, Notre Dame, Michigan and Ole’ Miss, WVU & Pitt, Louisville & Miami.  I suspect his rating will go up sooner than later.

  5. Bulldawg36

I guess we probably aren’t getting a couple of WRs… That’s why we took Matt. Hopefully he will prove the critics wrong

  6. MMCSDAWG

Thanks for the update! Glad to hear good news. Continued good news and recovery is the prayer brother!

  7. RumRunnerDoogie

BahitsAgain RumRunnerDoogie Greg Poole i should probably read the article first lol. tongan and somoan

  8. RumRunnerDoogie

Lucas Rogers i noticed and trying to hold back and not get in trouble with the bossman

  9. Greg Poole

RumRunnerDoogie LOL – no, their coach mentioned the hop on the NCAA interview that included  Coach Harris a few minutes ago – I googled it.

  10. RumRunnerDoogie

Greg Poole we kind of did that back when i played ball but mine was more a leg swing and we didnt hop that much haha

  11. PatriotVeteran

Lucas Rogers Greg Poole LANDERS “WANTS TO PLAY FOR UGA” that’s the most important reason he COMMITTED TO THE G.     1 of those whose been waiting and more concerned with his Top 10 will not be playing for UGA.      Wait and you may just wait too long.     COMMIT TO THE G  and FILL YOUR SLOT

  12. ed603

Bulldawg Bob2  Good news, Bob! We’re still praying and hoping for a permanent cure!

  13. ZippyMorocco

    Bulldawg Bob2
My beautiful wife has survived breast cancer and lung cancer. Christi is on the First Methodist prayer chain, in addition to the prayer shawl. We pray for her daily. Much love to Christi.

  14. DawgLink

Thanks for the update. I’m proud that her treatment is working. Give her an old fashioned “Go Dawgs” from the boys here

  15. Brooklyndawg

Bulldawg Bob2 Praying for you guys. Wasn’t aware that she had been diagnosed with cancer. It’s a tough go, as those of us who have been there can attest, but faith will successfully see her through!

  16. Lucas Rogers

Greg Poole Lucas Rogers I don’t think they take 6. I think they take Holloman and 1 other, possibly Bishop, Collins, or Webb. I think they see more from Landers than the ranking. Good speed hands and really tall. He has attended camps so don’t think that’s the reason for low ranking.

  17. Greg Poole

Lucas Rogers Me too. Which makes one wonder:
    1. Have they backed off of or lost one of the others.
    2. Do they see way more from Landers than one might think? The kid does have a ton of Power5 offer without gaining many stars. Are the pay-sites behind on him? Has he not attended their camps.
    3. Maybe they really are going to take 6 WRs?

  18. Lucas Rogers

Greg Poole Lucas Rogers I was surprised. To be honest I didn’t think it was committable just because all the WR left on the board.

  19. Greg Poole

So Lucas Rogers, just how surprised were you with the Landers commit? Did you imagine that he had a committable offer?

  20. Greg Poole

Lucas Rogers You have to be kidding, Landers is 0.05 seconds faster – would blow his thigh pads off ###

  21. Lucas Rogers

Greg Poole Lucas Rogers Ran a laser 4.73 at the Opening. So yeah pretty close to same speed as Trey Blount and Matt Landers. I hope he gets an offer when he camps at UGA this summer

  22. Greg Poole

Lucas Rogers  Eason opening doors for UGA in the Northwest? This kid reminds one of Eason when he throws but looks faster afoot.

  23. dawgmum

Bulldawg Bob2 Glad to see you here and to hear she’s doing well. We miss you too!

  24. Lucas Rogers

Bulldawg Bob2 Hey Bob! Glad to hear the treatment is working! Still praying man!

  25. Bulldawg Bob2

    Hey Bulldawg family.

Just wanted to give an update. Christi is doing well. She has good days and bad days, but there is good news as there are no new cancer cells and a reduction in the number of cancer cells in the latest test results; so, the treatment is working. Plus, her kidney function has changed and is hanging in there. Really the best possible news so far.

She has several more weeks of this aggressive treatment and then will be on what they call a maintenance dose. I’m doing OK as well. Just tired.  Appreciate all the prayers, well wishes and warm thoughts. We definitely feel them.

I miss you guys and gals.

  26. RumRunnerDoogie

BahitsAgain RumRunnerDoogie Greg Poole yea, dont think its hawaiian tho

  27. Greg Poole

AlphaDawg Avon Barksdale – Yep. That is the key and CKS knows it. That’s one reason that he never misses a chance to say, we need to get bigger, stronger, faster.
He knows that he does not have the quality depth that Bama has and he is going to need 2 (minimum) classes to get close.
In the meantime, the quality of coaching on his staff will be on display. That is what everyone should be watching in 2016.

  28. ZippyMorocco

    BahitsAgain Greg Poole ZippyMorocco
I like our position. UT could have 4 losses by 10/15.

  29. AlphaDawg

Greg Poole Avon Barksdale  Now our only problem is he can’t get it built fast enough!

  30. AlphaDawg

BenKellam BahitsAgain  Pulling a Butch Jones. Quantity over quality and create some “we’re back” hype.

  31. BahitsAgain

Greg Poole ZippyMorocco yep.  I’ll take it.  I would rather the pressure be on UT when we face them in Athens.

  32. Greg Poole

ZippyMorocco That is not an unreasonable preseason ranking for UGA with the QB position unsettled, Chubb’s status a mystery and questions on the OL.

  33. ZippyMorocco

    Athlon ranks all 128 teams

    #1. Bama
    #7. UT
    #9. LSU
    #10. Ole Miss
    #16. UGA
    #20. UF
    #26. Ark
    #28. A&M
    #35. Auburn
    #41. MSU
    #56. UK
    #57. Vandy
    #62. Mizzou
    #63. USC

  34. Greg Poole

BahitsAgain Yes, I met her nephew at a game. He lives on an island in the Pacific that I had never heard of.

  35. Bansai buckeroo

I say National Championship next year or bring Richt back…. No Pressure…####

  36. Greg Poole

Jake Reuse has Landers at 6-3 in his commit post. I DMed him about it – just to see if he was confident of the number. He replied, “no, that is h=just the number in our db. He is probably 6-5.”

  37. Lucas Rogers

BahitsAgain I love seeing the Vols almost at 30 🙂 Butch gets who Butch wants though

  38. BahitsAgain

Anyone think the Tunsil stuff along with other smoke and fire is hurting Ol Miss’s recruiting this year?

  39. BahitsAgain

    On 247

    LSU – 3
    Bama – 5
    UGA – 6
    Miss St. – 10
    UK – 16
    A&M – 27
    Vol Nuts – 29
    Scar – 30
    Barn – 37
    Lizards – 38
    Arky – 40
    Old smelly urine – 50
    Misery – 66
    Vandy – 111

  40. Lucas Rogers

Greg Poole Lucas Rogers yeah just looked and he ran a 4.68 at the Opening in Orlando

  41. Greg Poole

BahitsAgain  All of the services show him as 6-5.  Hudl has his 40 at 4.48 but those numbers are provided by the schools.

  42. Greg Poole

Avon Barksdale  Yep. Can’t coach tall.
I think recruiting is the least of Georgia’s worries now. Kirby considers the recruiting aspect of everything. This new drive for a change in the locker room location is, IMHO, not about a place for players to change clothes 6 or 7 times per season. Rather, it is about building an adjacent lounge for recruits and thier families.

  43. Avon Barksdale

    Gotta love these 6’5″ receivers!
Really need to add some pass rushers too! I want Herring, Bryant and Beal!!

  44. AlphaDawg

Greg Poole AlphaDawg Lucas Rogers  ahhhhhhh very clever. I thought it had something to do with Tenn

  45. Greg Poole

AlphaDawg Greg Poole Lucas Rogers  9 Peaches (GA) and an Orange (FL) – the current 2017 class

  46. Greg Poole

Score Check There is a lot of talk about how many – some folks are saying as many as 6.

  47. Score Check

Who are the top WRs left on UGA’s big board?
How many more are we expected to take?

  48. Jesse1

BenKellam Oh yeah. And he will acquire that weight in a manner prescribed not to lower his footspeed.

  49. TtownDawg

Jesse1 dawgmum Lucas Rogers  Or working like me. 6’5 wr wow! what do they feed these kids these days?

  50. Greg Poole

I just added some highlights to the Landers post. Link is above – refresh if you do not see it.

  51. Jesse1

dawgmum Lucas Rogers Que up Alice Cooper 1972 solid gold : Schools Out, and folks are on the move.

  52. Jesse1

Lucas Rogers BenKellam Invite him to The Varsity a couple timer per week. Problem solved. But use some restraint, though it can be difficult. Onion rings, chili dawgs, fried peach pies,. Burgers? Gimme another loaded Dawg and a bag o rags.

  53. BenKellam

Time for the WRs to start rolling in. Who wouldn’t want to have Eason throwing to them?????!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
(Since 36 isn’t here to celebrate yet)

  54. Greg Poole

Lucas Rogers  That was unexpected. When 247 first reported it they just used the kid as confirmation. I was hesitant to report it until I talked to someone else to be sure.

  55. Greg Poole

This kid looks like a Marlon Brown body type – 6-5/185 as a high school junior.

  56. BenKellam

I like the tall receivers. He could put on a little weight though. I guess that’ll come when he gets on campus.

  57. Lucas Rogers

JaxDawg Lucas Rogers I expect Holloman to be a top 100 player in the rankings by signing day. Collins is a stud though

  58. JaxDawg

Lucas Rogers JaxDawg Thanks! Yea I agree on Collins. Just wish we could get that big name WR in this class! With that being said, I like what I see from Landers! I think receivers are like OL, you can teach them a whole lot

  59. Lucas Rogers

JaxDawg Lucas Rogers Coach Coley visited him last week or so down in Florida. He is a big guy that has some speed to. He’ll need to gain some weight and work on some route running and blocking but solid pick up. Impressive offer sheet with offers from UF, FSU, Ole Miss, Auburn and others. Holloman is a Dawg IMO. UGA could take 5 WR depending on who wants to commit. We are in a good position for Collins, but I don’t think he’ll commit to Georgia. Also have Webb and Tray Bishop to watch

  60. JaxDawg

Lucas Rogers We have 3 WR commits now, so holloman may be our last WR commit if he comes. We are out of it for Collins most likely. Anything about Matt Landers at all? This is the first I heard of him

  61. Lucas Rogers

Was an unexpected commitment lol. That gives Georgia 10 in the class right now. I think by the first game the class will be at 14 or 15

  62. deltonadawg

Sorry lol I’m fine had Munson sleeping in my lap this morning and could not get to my phone.

  63. Jesse1

DawgDaddy Greg Poole And had Chubb not gone out on the 1st play, we would have run their butt  All the Way to Memphis. Coincidentally, 9 years earlier in Sanford, Dawgs had blown a 21-24 point lead to that team up north. Beginning a tradition of snatching defeat from the lap of victory laurels.

  64. Jesse1

Greg Poole Too bad.  With the turmoil in Mizzou, they are looking like a bad get. Reminiscent of the Syracuse implosion of the 70’s bad. Pack Ky to the Big-Whichever, and lets have some good scheduling. Back to 11, with 8 SEC plus 3, 2 of which must be a Power-5 opponent. Only one seal clubbing per year allowed. It cheapens the program, and insults the supporters to shell out the dough to see a team loaded with players who couldn’t start for half of the Top 10 teams in Gwinnett County.

  65. DawgDaddy

Greg Poole At least someone out there is not sold on Booch either.  UT has reached the point that they must show me before I believe that they will win the east.  Last year was just an out and out misfire by a supposed favorite.  Now they are using the “yeah, but we lost close” line.  As always a loss is a loss in my book.

  66. Greg Poole

ZippyMorocco  Possibly, he probably just stayed out all night carousing again. 🙂

  67. ZippyMorocco

    Greg Poole
Morning greg. Do we need to organize a search party for deltona?
