UGA’s Kevin Sherrer is No. 1 Recruiter in SEC, 2nd Nationally

[su_spacer size=”20″] UGA assistant coach Kevin Sherrer (sam linebacker/star) is the number one ranked recruiter in the SEC, and the 2nd ranked recruiter nationally, according to 247Sports.
[su_spacer size=”40″] [su_quote style=”modern-light” cite=”GeorgiaDogs.com” url=”http://www.georgiadogs.com/sports/m-footbl/mtt/kevin_sherrer_883160.html”] Sherrer, who served as Director of Player Development at Alabama for three years prior to joining the South Alabama staff, coached defensive backs for the Jaguars. The 2013 South Alabama defense ranked second in the Sun Belt Conference in total defense (384.3 yards per game) and second in scoring defense (25.2 points per game).
[su_spacer size=”10″] At Alabama, Sherrer’s responsibilities included assisting Crimson Tide student-athletes with academics, community outreach and their personal lives. During his tenure, UA posted a 35-5 (87.5%) mark while winning the BCS national title in 2011 and 2012 and the 2012 Southeastern Conference championship.
