There was a scary moment in the Thursday night high school football scrimmage between Liberty County and Brunswick, when the Panther’s Richard LeCounte went down early in the game with what appeared to be a serious injury. Play was stopped for over half an hour as trainers and medical staff attended to LeCounte before he was taken off the field on a stretcher, by ambulance to a local hospital. Bulldawg Illustrated’s Murray Poole was at the scrimmage from his vantage point in the press box and gives an update on LeCounte’s status.

Thankfully, from all reports, LeCounte is going to be OK, and after he was cleared and released from the hospital, he returned to the scrimmage.

Cannot say this enough, on how thankful we all are that this young man is going to be a-OK. Truly a very scary moment for him, his family, teammates, and fans.
