Georgia golfer Matthew Beringer has a direct connection to Notre Dame football and the “Four Horsemen.” His great grandfather was Don Miller (the Horseman on the left in the iconic photo).

Moreover, his great uncle, Creighton Miller was fourth in the Heisman balloting in 1943 for the Irish and his mom, Karen Kramer, swam for Notre Dame.

Said Beringer, “It’s something that I’m incredibly proud of, for sure. I had always dreamed and aspired to go to Notre Dame. That was something that weighed on my heart a lot, to not go to Notre Dame. Three years into my career at Georgia, I can’t thank God enough for leading me here. I feel really blessed I ended up at this unbelievable school.”
