Georgia Men’s Golf Team In Fifth Place at 3M Augusta Invitational

The Georgia men’s golf team is in fifth place after two rounds of the 3M Augusta Invitational at Forest Hills Golf Club.
 
 
The Bulldogs played 36 holes on Saturday, posting a 6-under 282 in the first round and following that up with a 1-under 287 in the second round. Entering the final round, their total stands at 7-under 569.
 
 
Host Augusta has the team lead at 18-under 558, followed by Texas and Illinois at 15-under 561, and South Florida at 14-under 562.
 
 
Lee McCoy, who medaled at this event last year, paced the Bulldogs in the first round with a 3-under 69. After a 2-under 70 in the second round, he is tied for sixth place with a total of 5-under 139.
 
 
After rounds of 2-under 70 and even-par 72, Zach Healy is tied for 16th. Sepp Straka and Greyson Sigg are tied for 29th with two-round totals of even-par 144. David Mackey had rounds of 8-over 80 and 3-over 75.
