The Georgia men’s golf team will continue the fall portion of its schedule next week as the Bulldogs play in the Nike Invitational. The 54-hole tournament will run Sunday through Tuesday at Pumpkin Ridge Golf Club in Portland, Oregon.

Georgia will use a lineup of sophomores Will Chandler, Spencer Ralston and Trevor Phillips, and freshmen John Hilliard Catanzaro and Davis Thompson. Thompson has the team’s lowest scoring average at 70.67, followed by Ralston at 71.00.

The Bulldogs and host Oregon will be joined at Pumpkin Ridge by Stanford, Southern Cal, Arizona, Oklahoma, Duke, Clemson, Wake Forest, Florida, Texas, Vanderbilt, TCU and Ohio State.

“Our team has very high expectations this season, including challenging for SEC and national championships,” Georgia head coach Chris Haack said. “We have not been pleased with our first two tournaments and we’re hoping to turn things around in Oregon. This field has 10 of the top 25 teams in the country, so we’ll have to be at our best to be in the hunt.”
