The No. 12-ranked Georgia men’s golf team will resume the fall portion of its schedule this weekend in the DICK¹S Sporting Goods Collegiate Challenge Cup at the Golf Club of Tennessee in Kingston Springs, Tenn.

The tournament features 36 holes of stroke play on Friday and 18 holes of stroke play on Saturday to determine the medalist and the team champion. On Sunday, the six SEC and six ACC squads will square off in a match-play competition for conference honors.

The Bulldogs won the inaugural event in 2013 and went 5-0 in match play versus Clemson to help the SEC top the ACC. A year ago, Georgia¹s Lee McCoy claimed medalist honors and the Bulldogs topped Louisville 3-2 in match play.

“We’re excited about getting back up there,” said Georgia coach Chris Haack, who earned his 50th tournament win at the 2013 event. “It’s a pretty demanding golf course, it’s always in spectacular shape and it’s a great field. It’s always a challenge. And with the bragging rights between the SEC and the ACC, we always want to play well up there.”

The Bulldogs will use a lineup of seniors McCoy and Sepp Straka, juniors Jaime Lopez Rivarola and Greyson Sigg, and sophomore Zach Healy. Sigg picked up the individual win – the first of his career – and the Bulldogs took second in the season-opening Carmel Cup Sept. 4-6.

Georgia will be joined this weekend by SEC counterparts Alabama, Florida, Kentucky, Tennessee and Vanderbilt, while Clemson, Duke, Florida State, Georgia Tech, Louisville and Virginia will represent the ACC.

Georgia will play the first and second rounds on Friday with Alabama and Virginia. The teams will tee off between 8:45-9:25 a.m. and 1:45-2:29 p.m.
