MEN’S GOLF: Georgia 4th In Nike Golf Collegiate Invitational

The No. 8-ranked Georgia men¹s golf team stands fourth after one round of the Nike Golf Collegiate Invitational at Pumpkin Ridge Golf Club.

 

On Sunday, the Bulldogs fired an 8-under-par 276, seven shots in back of Wake Forest (269).

 

Senior Lee McCoy paced Georgia in the first round with a 5-under 66. He is second individually and trails Wake Forest¹s Davis Womble by two shots.

 

Junior Greyson Sigg stands ninth at 3-under 68, while sophomore Zach Healy carded a 2-under 69 for 17th. Senior Sepp Straka and junior Jaime Lopez Rivarola each signed for a 2-over 73.

 

The Nike Golf Collegiate Invitational will continue on Monday and will conclude on Tuesday. The Bulldogs will be paired with TCU and Duke on Monday. Live scoring can be found at GolfStat.com.
