The Georgia men’s golf team will be hosting the 36-hole Southern Intercollegiate Championships tournament on Monday at the Athens Country Club. Play will begin with shotgun starts at 9:00 a.m. and at 2:00 p.m.

The Bulldogs will field two squads for Monday’s competition. One team will consist of senior Greyson Sigg, sophomore Tye Waller, and freshmen Will Chandler, Trevor Phillips and Spencer Ralston, while the other quintet will have senior Jaime Lopez Rivarola, junior Zach Healy, and sophomores Matthew Beringer, Jack Larkin Jr. and David Mackey.

“It’s great that we get to see all 10 guys under tournament conditions,” Georgia coach Chris Haack said. “A tournament is so different than qualifying rounds. It’s our chance to compete with each other and other teams on a course we’re pretty familiar with. We’ll be in the championship portion of the season next month, so an event like this will help us make some lineup decisions.”

The Bulldogs have won the tournament each of the last two seasons since it was resurrected. Sigg was a co-medalist in 2016.

Joining the 19th-ranked Bulldogs will be No. 13 Oklahoma, No. 24 Arkansas, Kennesaw State, Furman, Lipscomb, Youngstown State, Chattanooga, USC-Upstate, Francis Marion, Stetson, Gardner-Webb, Savannah State, Western Carolina, Ohio State and Florida State.

If you would like to see the Georgia men’s golf team and the Southern Intercollegiate Championships, there is no cost for admission.
