MEN’S GOLF: After Two Rounds, Georgia in Second Place at Crooked Stick Invitational

The University of Georgia men’s golf team stands second after two rounds of the Crooked Stick Invitational.

 
On Monday at Crooked Stick Golf Club, the Bulldogs had rounds of 1-under 287 and 2-under 286 for a total of 3-under 573. Georgia is five shots in back of Purdue, which used a blistering 11-under 277 in the second round to land at 8-under 568.
 
 
Sophomore Spencer Ralston paced the Bulldogs on Monday with loops of 2-under 70 and 1-under 71 for a total of 3-under 141. Ralston stands seventh individually, just two behind Purdue’s Timmy Hildebrand and Indiana’s Evan Yakubov.
 
 
Sophomore Trevor Phillips is ninth at 2-under 142 after he signed for a 1-over 73 and a 3-under 69. Freshman Davis Thompson is 13th at even-par 144 (1-over 73, 1-under 71). Junior David Mackey wound up at 3-over 147 (1-under 71, 4-over 76), followed by sophomore Will Chandler at 6-over 150 (two 3-over 75s).
 
 
Playing as an individual, senior Zach Healy had rounds of 1-under 71 and 1-over 73 to match Thompson at even-par 144.
 
 
The Crooked Stick Invitational will conclude on Tuesday with the Bulldogs going off in 9-minute increments between 9:45 and 10:21 a.m. Three-hole scoring can be found by CLICKING HERE.
