MEN’S GOLF: UGA In Third Place Tie After Round One

The Georgia men’s golf team is tied for third place after one round of the Querencia Cabo Intercollegiate.

The Bulldogs finished Sunday’s round at Querencia Golf Club with a 3-under-par 281. Georgia is currently tied with California and trails leader South Florida by a margin of seven strokes. The Querencia Cabo Intercollegiate is the second event of the spring portion of Georgia’s schedule.

Lee McCoy paced the Bulldogs with a 2-under 69. He is tied for seventh place, three strokes back of Rice’s Mario Carmona.

The Bulldogs also got a 1-under 70 from Greyson Sigg, who is tied for 16th place. Sepp Straka, Jaime Lopez Rivarola and Zach Healy each recorded an even-par 70 for Georgia.

The Querencia Cabo Intercollegiate will continue Monday and will conclude on Tuesday. Monday’s round will begin with an 11:00 a.m. shotgun start. Live scoring can be found at GolfStat.com.
