Stepp Straka and Greyson Sigg Earn Ping All-American Recognition

Two additional members of the Georgia men’s golf team have earned PING All-America status, according to an announcement Thursday by the Golf Coaches Association of America.
 
 
Junior Greyson Sigg was named to the Third Team, while senior Sepp Straka received Honorable Mention status. Senior Lee McCoy previously had garnered First-Team status.
 
 
Sigg, a native of Augusta, was named First-Team All-SEC by the league coaches and All-Southeast Region by the GCAA. He registered three individual wins at the Carmel Cup, the Southern Intercollegiate Championships and the NCAA Tuscaloosa Regional. Sigg posted six top-10 finishes and finished with a scoring average of 71.23.

Straka, from Valdosta, earned Second-Team All-SEC status and was named All-Southeast Region. He finished in the top 10 five times, including a stretch of four consecutive tournaments. Straka served as the Bulldogs’ co-captain along with McCoy. Straka capped the best season of his collegiate career with a scoring average of 71.59.
