UGA GOLF: Nicholas Reach and Sylvie Brick Named to SEC Community Service Teams

[su_spacer size=”20″] The Southeastern Conference’s Golf Community Service Teams were announced on Monday, with Nicholas Reach and Sylvie Brick making the lists from Georgia.
[su_spacer size=”40″] SEC Community Service Teams highlight athletes from each school and sport who give back to their community through grand service efforts.
[su_spacer size=”40″] Reach is a senior from Moscow, Pennsylvania majoring in Management Information Systems. His community service efforts include Food Bank of Northeast Georgia; Learn, Play, Excel with Georgia’s Leadership Academy at Berta Weathersbee Elementary School; and the Hunger Bowl Can Food Drive, among others. He is involved with junior golf programs at both the Country Club of Scranton (Pa.) and Elmhurst Country Club. Reach has also been named a Cleveland Golf/Srixon All-America Scholar, SEC and UGA academic honor rolls, as well as All-Southeast Region and All-SEC.
[su_spacer size=”40″] Brick is a junior from Frankfort, Illinois majoring in Statistics. Earlier this month she was chosen as the SEC female representative for the 2015 NCAA Leadership Forum in Orlando, Fla. Brick serves as the Vice President and Social Chairman for UGA’s Student-Athlete Advisory Committee (SAAC). In this role she coordinated the SAAC’s involvement in the Hunger Bowl Can Food Drive and “Athens PBJ,” which is an initiative to help feed the homeless in downtown Athens. She has also coordinated efforts for Toys for Tots and mailing Holiday Cards for Deployed Soldiers, as well as the Special Olympics Prom and Home Runs for Hometown Rivals, a softball game with Special Olympians.
