UGA women’s golf team Harang Lee earned a first-team All-SEC selection, and teammates Jillian Hollis and Bailey Tardy earned second-team All-SEC honors in balloting of league coaches.

“It’s a great honor for them and for our golf program to have three players recognized by the conference, especially in a conference that has so many of the top programs and individuals in the nation,” head coach Josh Brewer said.

Lee, a senior from Castro Uridales, Spain, leads the Bulldogs in stroke average at 72.06, with half of her 18 rounds being par-or-better scores. Lee played an abbreviated fall schedule while representing Spain at the World Team Amateur Championships and participating in LPGA Q-School. Most recently, she finished as runner-up at the SEC Championships after shooting 11-under 205. That score is the second-best both in Georgia school history and in the history of the SEC Championships.

Hollis, a sophomore from Rocky River, Ohio, sports at 72.09 stroke average and leads the Bulldogs in both par-or-better rounds (13) and birdies (72). Hollis has posted six top-10 finishes in nine stroke play events this season, including claiming medalist honors at the 45th Liz Murphey Collegiate Classic. Hollis has been Georgia’s top finisher at three of six spring events, tying for ninth at the Darius Rucker Intercollegiate and third at the Bryan National Collegiate.

Tardy, a sophomore from Peachtree Corners, Ga., has a 72.43 stroke average this season, with 12 par-or-better tallies in 23 rounds played. She shot Georgia’s low score of the season, a 66 in the second round of the Windy City Collegiate last fall that was just a stroke shy of the Bulldogs’ single-round school record. Tardy led the Bulldogs to their second-straight team title in Chicago while finishing as individual runner-up, one of her four top-10 and seven top-20 finishes during the 2016-17 season.

This the second-consecutive year Lee, Hollis, and Tardy have earned All-SEC honors. A year ago, Lee and Tardy were first-team honorees and Hollis was a second-team pick. All told, 41 Georgia golfers have combined to win 87 All-SEC certificates since the league began oversight of women’s golf in 1982.

Georgia is currently ranked No. 8 nationally by both Golfstat and Golfweek. The Bulldogs will host an NCAA Regional next Monday-Wednesday at the UGA Golf Course. Tee times for the Regional begin at 7:30 a.m. each day, with Georgia hitting the course between 9:12-9:48 a.m. on Monday morning. Eighteen teams and six individuals will compete in the Regional, with the top-six teams and the top three individuals not on those teams advancing to the NCAA Championships on May 19-24 at Rich Harvest Farms outside Chicago.
