Despite falling to Alabama on Saturday at home, the Georgia Gymdogs turned in a season-best score of 197.325 and were rewarded by moving up one spot to No. 7 in the most recent polls.

The rank matches the best this season for Georgia, equaling its position from the initial Regional Qualifying Score rankings on Feb. 20.

With a team RQS of 196.930, Georgia is fourth in the SEC, trailing No. 2 LSU (197.775), No. 3 Florida (197.495) and No. 6 Alabama (197.285). The Gymdogs lead 12th-ranked Kentucky (196.535), 15th-ranked Missouri (196.325), 20th-ranked Auburn (196.090) and 29th-ranked Arkansas (195.585). The top four teams in the conference after this week’s upcoming meets will compete in the evening session of the SEC Championship, slated for a 6 p.m. start time on March 18.

The Gymdogs face No. 5 Utah on Saturday (March 11) at 4 p.m. The meet will feature Senior Day and Alumni Day festivities, honoring this year’s five seniors and the 1987 and 2007 NCAA champion squads. The final edition of G.R.O.W. will follow the Senior Day program. Tickets are available through the UGA ticket office.
