Bulldawg Illustrated’s editor and owner Vance Leavy caught up with UGA men’s golf team Associate Head Coach Jim Douglas to talk about the excitement surrounding Courtney Kupets Carter and Suzanne Yoculan Leebern to be back at Georgia coaching the gymnastics team. And he could not let Jim get away without talking a little golf and the upcoming NCAA College Grove Regionals from May 15-17 when the Bulldogs begin their quest for another NCAA Division I Men’s Golf Championship.

Coach Jim Douglas on Courtney Kupets Carter being named the new head coach of the Georgia Gymdogs and Suzanne Yoculan Leebern being back part of the gymnastics program as a volunteer coach:

“It’s a great thing. That’s like having Herschel Walker with Vince Dooley as a volunteer coach. I just don’t see how she is not going do phenomenal. She is going to recruit lights out”

Coach Jim Douglas on the upcoming NCAA College Grove Regionals up in Nashville, TN for the Division I Men’s Golf Championship:

“There are fifteen teams there and you advance through the top five. It’s a little difficult because nine teams are ranked teams.”
