SOCCER: UGA’s 2016 Spring Schedule Announced

The Georgia soccer team and head coach Billy Lesesne announced on Wednesday the team’s 2016 spring soccer schedule. Beginning on Tuesday, March 1 against Georgia State at 7 p.m. ET in Conyers, Ga.

 
Four of Georgia’s six spring opponents earned bids to the 2015 NCAA Women’s Soccer Tournament, including two teams that advanced to the Round of 16.
 
Following UGA’s match against Georgia State, the Bulldogs will head to the Blanchard Woods Soccer Complex on Saturday, March 19 to take on Southeastern Conference rival South Carolina at 10 a.m. ET. Eleven days later the squad is set to take on another SEC foe in Auburn on Wednesday, March 30 at 7:30 p.m. at Georgia State University’s home field in Decatur, Ga.
 
The Bulldogs are set to play three games in the month of April, starting with two shortened matches on April 9 at the BB&T Soccer Park in Winston-Salem, N.C. Georgia opens the day with a contest against UNC-Wilmington at 11 a.m. ET before ending the evening with Virginia Tech at 5 p.m. ET.
 
Georgia rounds out the 2016 spring slate with a home match vs. Kennesaw State at 2 p.m. ET at the Turner Soccer Complex. The game will be open to the public with free admission.

Sat., March 19 vs. South Carolina, 10 a.m., Evans, Ga.
Wed. March 30 vs. Auburn, 7:30 p.m., Decatur, Ga.
Sat. April 9 vs. UNC-Wilmington, 11 a.m., Winston-Salem, N.C.
Sat. April 9 vs. Virginia Tech, 5 p.m., Winston-Salem, N.C.
Sat. April 23 vs. Kennesaw State, 2 p.m., Athens, Ga.
