[su_spacer size=”20″] RUN RULES AND SHUTOUTS
Georgia has been dominant from the plate this season, as 12 of its 24 games have been run-rule victories. The Bulldogs have also shut out 11 of its opponents this season.
[su_spacer size=”40″] POWER
Georgia’s bat showed up in a big way last week for the Bulldogs. Entering the week Georgia had hit 11 home runs in 19 games. Since last Wednesday’s doubleheader against Wright State, the Bulldogs have recorded eight home runs. Four players hit their first home run of the season last week.
[su_spacer size=”40″] CAN’T CATCH US
Georgia has been a force on the base paths this season. Through 24 games, Georgia has stolen 73 bases. Through all 64 games last season the Bulldogs stole just 51 times. More impressive than the total number of stolen bases is that Georgia runners have only been caught stealing four times. Last week alone, Georgia was 21-22 on the bases, with eight players stealing at least one base. By comparison, opponents have only successfully stolen 10 bases this season.
[su_spacer size=”40″] TWO OUT MAGIC
Georgia was particularly impressive last week with two outs. As a team, the Bulldogs hit .444 with two away and drove in 18 runs with two outs. In the first game of March 4’s doubleheader against Wright State, all of Georgia’s runs came with two outs.
