The 15th-ranked Georgia softball team fresh off a 10-1 victory over Georgia State earlier this week on Wednesday in Atlanta will be spending some time in the Sunshine State over the weekend as they get ready to tango in the SPC Elite Invitational. This is the second annual St. Pete/Clearwater Elite Invitational which is held at the Eddie C. Moore Complex in Clearwater, FL. The Bulldogs will take on five different opponents including three in the top-25 which include No. 21 Northwestern, No. 17 Texas Tech, and No. 2 UCLA. 

Georgia will open play in the Invitational on Friday against Kansas at 12 Noon followed by Northwestern at 3:00 p.m. ET. Saturday’s slate will include a 10:00 a.m. game versus Texas Tech and then the Lady Bulldogs will face the defending national champion UCLA at 4:00 p.m. ET. Georgia will close the tournament on Sunday against South Florida at 9:00 p.m. ET.

Sunday, Feb. 16: 9:00 p.m. vs. South Florida

After the SPC Elite Invitational, Georgia will return to Jack Turner Softball Stadium in Athens to host Samford on Wednesday, February 19th and the first pitch is set for 5:30 p.m. ET.
