Junior Ellie Crump’s comeback victory on the 1-meter springboard highlighted the final day of competition for the University of Georgia diving team at the Georgia Diving Invitational Tuesday afternoon at Gabrielsen Natatorium.

After ranking third through two dives, Crump quickly moved up on the board on her final four efforts, including a score of 53.30 on her final dive to finish with a season-best mark of 278.95 and her first victory of the season. Crump bested freshman teammate Meghan Wenzel, who placed second with a score of 271.10, with both earning Zone cuts in the process. In the morning session, Wenzel took first in prelims with a score of 290.10.

Junior Tally Brown narrowly missed out on a qualifying mark, finishing fourth with a score of 263.35, while redshirt junior Ambria D’Alonzo (220.35) and sophomore Raquel Mason (211.90) finished seventh and ninth, respectively.

The men’s platform event did not feature any Bulldogs, but served as a showcase for Tennessee. The Volunteers’ Matthew Wade earned his second win of the meet with a score of 350.85 on the tower, followed by teammates Jacob Reasor (335.70) and Keegan Richardson (310.55).
