Ten Georgia swimmers were listed on the official NCAA Championships women’s psych sheet released on Wednesday.

Senior Caitlin Casazza; juniors Veronica Burchill, Sofia Carnevale, and Meryn McCann; sophomores Danielle Della Torre and Courtney Harnish; and freshmen Olivia Carter, Callie Dickinson, Madison Homovich, and Dakota Luther received invitations on Wednesday. The Lady Bulldogs likely will add juniors Katherine Aikins and Jordan Stout and sophomore Gabi Fa’amausili as relay alternates.

The Lady Bulldogs will be vying for their eighth national title March 20-23 in Austin, Texas. Georgia won national championships in 1999, 2000, 2001, 2005, 2013, 2014 and 2016. In the last 19 years, the Lady Bulldogs have finished first or second 13 times.

Harnish was the SEC champion in the 500 freestyle and Carter claimed an SEC title in the 200 butterfly. Burchill (100 freestyle), Carter (200 butterfly), and Harnish (500 freestyle) were the trio Lady Bulldogs to register automatic qualifying standards this season.

Burchill, Carter and Harnish were invited in three events each. Luther was chosen for events, while Carnevale, Casazza, Della Torre, Dickinson, Homovich, and McCann were chosen for one each. Swimmers also may compete on up to four of the five relays.

Wednesday’s announcement, however, does not mean the Lady Bulldogs’ NCAAs roster is set. Juniors McKensi Austin and Freida Lim with freshmen Ellie Crump, Ambria D’Alonzo, and Kelliann Howell will compete Monday through Wednesday in the Zone B Diving Championships at Auburn as they attempt to join their swimming counterparts in the national meet.

The meet selections for the men’s NCAAs will be announced next Wednesday. Their national meet will be March 27-30 in Austin, Texas as well.
