The top-court doubles pair of Ellen Perez and Mariana Gould reached the top 10 in the latest ITA rankings, announced Thursday night.

Perez and Gould most recently went 2-1 at the SEC Tournament with wins over then-13th Courtney Colton and Astra Sharma of Vanderbilt as well as then-No. 31 Rachel Pierson and Eva Paalma of Texas A&M.

Kennedy Shaffer was the big climber in the singles rankings, leaping from 36th to No. 28 in the new poll, her best-ever singles mark. Shaffer went 2-0 in Baton Rouge with wins over No. 13 Frances Altick of Vanderbilt and ninth-ranked Belinda Woolcock of Florida. Shaffer leads Georgia with 19 dual wins this spring and seven match clinchers.

Perez remained in the top five, checking in at No. 5. Caroline Brinson is ranked 30th and Silvia Garcia was picked 116th.

The second doubles pair of Shaffer and Garcia, which went 0-1 in Baton Rouge, fell to No. 81.

As a team, Georgia checked in at No. 5.

The Bulldogs will return to action next weekend as they host North Florida, Wake Forest and Baylor for the first two rounds of the NCAA Tournament. Tickets are on sale via georgiadogs.com for $5 for adults, $3 for children/students and free for children 2 and under.
