After another undefeated weekend and a win over then-No. 10 Virginia, the Georgia women’s tennis team (12-1, 5-0) leapfrogged North Carolina to regain the No. 3 ranking in the latest ITA poll, announced Tuesday afternoon by the governing body of intercollegiate tennis.

The new team rankings were accompanied by updated singles and doubles polls, headlined by sophomore Ellen Perez climbing to her highest ever rank at No. 7. She was followed by Caroline Brinson at No. 27, Kennedy Shaffer at No. 56 and Silvia Garcia at No. 79.

On the doubles side, Perez and partner Mariana Gould rose three spots to No. 25, and the pairing of Shaffer and Garcia, which has yet to appear in spring action, checks in at No. 63.

The Bulldogs head on the road this weekend to take on No. 23 Kentucky before a rematch of last season’s SEC championship match against No. 5 Vanderbilt.
