The University of Georgia men’s tennis team makes the short drive to Atlanta this weekend to take part in the 2018 MLK/Georgia Tech Invitational.

The Bulldogs will join the Yellow Jackets, Columbia and Illinois as the four participating teams at this year’s event. The MLK Invite will take place at the Ken Byers Tennis Complex on the Georgia Tech campus and will feature a tournament-style setting with no team score.

Georgia will begin play against players from Columbia at 9:00 a.m. ET on Saturday. Matches will begin daily at 9 a.m. and 1 p.m., with the event scheduled to run until Monday.

This year’s field features three ranked teams. Georgia is the highest ranked at No. 4, followed by Illinois at No. 16 and Columbia at No. 23. This marks the fifth-straight year Georgia has participated in the MLK Invite, which has served as the lid-lifter for the spring season.
