UGA men’s tennis team sophomore Jan Zielinski and freshman Robert Loeb have moved up to No. 3 nationally in the latest Oracle/Intercollegiate Tennis Association rankings. The new rankings were released on Tuesday. As a team, the Georgia men moved up to No. 13 nationally.

The duo highlights Georgia’s latest showing in the rankings, with the tandem of Nathan Ponwith and Emil Reinberg landing at No. 53 in doubles. In singles, Wayne Montgomery moved up seven spots to No. 25, while Ponwith went back into the rankings at No. 64 and Reinberg comes in at No. 68.

Loeb and Zielinski have been an impressive pair so far this season and lead the Bulldogs with a 13-5 overall record at the No. 1 doubles court. They have won seven of their last eight matches this season — all seven coming against ranked opponents.

The tandem is part of a young Georgia team that currently features five underclassmen out of six singles courts and two doubles teams that feature freshman/sophomore combos.

This week, the Bulldogs host No. 14 Florida at 6 p.m. ET Friday at the Dan Magill Tennis Complex before welcoming No. 20 South Carolina on Sunday at 1 p.m. ET.
