[su_spacer size=”40″] It’s the SEC vs. the ACC as the Dawgs take on the Kittens this weekend.
[su_spacer size=”40″] The UGA Women’s Tennis team are ranked 2nd and sitting at 2-0 after the ITA Kick-Off Weekend where they skunked both Wyoming and Old Dominion. Now, they have their sites on 20th ranked Clemson on Saturday at 4 PM ET, where the Bulldogs will host the Tigers in Athens, GA at the Lindsey Hopkins Indoor Courts at the Dan Magill Tennis Complex.

[su_spacer size=”40″] Clemson has Joana Eidukonyte, one of the nation’s top-ranked singles player. She will be the first singles player to be ranked No. 1 that Georgia has faced since Lauren Herring squared off against UCLA’s Robin Anderson in last year’s Final Four at Waco, Texas. That match went unfinished. Earlier in the year, Herring defeated Virginia’s Julia Elbaba 7-5, 6-4 ranked first at the time of the match.
[su_spacer size=”40″] Georgia climbed up to number 2 in the ITA team rankings after defeating 74th ranked Wymoing in the first round and then 57th ranked Old Dominion in the finals the ITA Kick-Off Weekend in Athens last weekend from Friday January 22nd till Sunday January 24th at the Dan Magill Tennis Complex. The Bulldogs swept both Wyoming and Old Dominion 4-0. The last two times Georgia opened its season with consecutive sweeps, the teams went on to win the SEC Tournament (2009, 2014).
