Ellen Perez clinched All-America honors via the ITA Rankings, finishing ranked fifth in the country. The top 16 players earned All-America distinction, and it is the first singles All-America nod for the Shellharbour, Australia native. Perez finished the 2015-16 year with a 28-7 record and went 16-4 in dual play on the top court.

She was joined in the All-America ranks by fellow sophomore Kennedy Shaffer, who clinched her spot on the team with her performance at the NCAA Singles championship. Shaffer, who led the team in wins for 2015-16 (32), dual wins (20) and match clinchers (seven), finished the year with her best-ever rank of 22.

The doubles pair of Perez and Mariana Gould also earned All-America honors, finishing the season ranked 10th in the country. It was Perez’s second consecutive season being a doubles All-American, and it was the first such honor for Gould. The duo, which debuted for Georgia in the fall, boasted a 19-9 overall record this season including 14-6 in dual play.

Upperclassmen Caroline Brinson and Silvia Garcia rounded out the singles rankings for the Bulldogs, with Brinson coming in at 34 and Garcia finishing her collegiate career ranked 115th.
