UGA women’s tennis team junior Caroline Brinson was named to the SEC Community Service Team, announced by the league office Tuesday morning.
 
 
Brinson, a native of New Orleans, Louisiana, is an active participant in many worthy causes around the Athens community. She is a three-year participant in the Special Olympics baseball game and added the Special Olympics prom to her list this year as well.
 
 
She was also a part of the Relay For Life date night auction, the Barrow Elementary one-mile run, and she partakes in toiletry collection for Project Safe. Brinson has also been involved with the End It movement to end slavery worldwide and has participated in Habitat for Humanity events and contributed to the Salvation Army Christmas Angel toy drive for the last two years.
 
 
The 5-foot-9 junior holds a holds an 11-7 dual record and is 25-10 overall this year counting fall play with eight wins over ranked opponents.
 
 
Brinson and the Bulldogs return to action Friday morning at the SEC Tournament in Baton Rouge, Louisiana.
