The defending National Team Indoor and SEC Champion Georgia Bulldogs have a packed schedule for the upcoming 2019-20 season, head coach Jeff Wallace announced Wednesday.

Georgia opens its fall tournament season on September 13-15 at the Puerto Rico Classic in San Juan. The Bulldogs will venture to California, Texas, Oklahoma and Florida for other fall events. The ITA Kick-Off Weekend returns to Athens in January where Georgia will play host to Notre Dame, Michigan State and Furman. The winner of the ITA Kick-Off event advances to the National Team Indoors in Chicago from February 5-10.

Georgia begins SEC action at home against Tennessee on February 29. The Bulldogs will welcome Florida, South Carolina, Missouri, Arkansas, Alabama and Auburn to Athens in 2020. The Bulldogs road matches in the SEC will be against Ole Miss, Miss. State, LSU, Texas A&M, Kentucky and Vanderbilt. The SEC Tournament will be held April 15-19 in Tuscaloosa, Ala.

 

 

 

 

The Bulldogs return eight letterwinners including National Player of the Year Katarina Jokic plus have added one of the country’s top junior players in Lea Ma, a freshman from Dix Hills, N.Y. The Bulldogs posted a 28-2 record last year (13-0 in the SEC) and finished No. 2 nationally.

Georgia’s home matches will be played at the Dan Magill Tennis Complex. Currently, the facility is undergoing an $8.5 million renovation ahead of the spring season.
