[su_spacer size=”20″] Only Arkansas joined Georgia from the Southeastern Conference with a Academic All-America First Team honoree.  The Bulldogs and Razorbacks are also the only two league teams with two combined members on the first and second teams.
[su_spacer size=”40″] Lord, an Applied Biotechnology major who posted a 3.66 GPA, closed out his season by competing in the 10,000-meter run at the NCAA Outdoor Championships for the second straight year.  A native of Sudbury, Ontario, he was the 2014 SEC champ in the event and finished in third place in the 5000 during the 2015 season.  Lord is Georgia’s school record holder in the indoor 3000 and 5000, and outdoors is No. 2 in the 10,000 and No. 4 in the 5000.
[su_spacer size=”40″] Uibo, a Finance major who carries a 3.33 GPA, has won back-to-back NCAA outdoor titles in the decathlon.  The four-time NCAA First Team All-American has also won four SEC championships, including the last three decathlon crowns.  Uibo, a native of Polva, Estonia, set the UGA record in 2015 with 8,326 points in the decathlon, which ranks seventh in the world this year.  This point total set the SEC Championships record and his 7 foot, 1 ¾ inches clearance in the high jump at the meet was also a league record.
[su_spacer size=”40″] Uibo was the 2015 SEC Indoor Scholar Athlete of the Year while Lord was named the 2014 SEC Scholar Athlete of the Year.
