The day concluded non-conference action for the Bulldogs, who returns home on Sunday, Sept. 27 to open SEC play against Tennessee at 1:30 p.m. ET.

Averaging 10.5 assists per set, sophomore Kendall Kazor totaled 63 assists, guiding Georgia to a .242 hitting mark. Sophomore Cassidy Anderson posted 27 digs while redshirt junior Desiree McCray had 12 total blocks, tallying six blocks each match.
[su_spacer size=”40″] Lobenstein did most of her damage against VCU, tying her career high with a match-best 17 kills. Dachs was close behind with 12 while redshirt junior Megan Spencer tabbed 11. Kazor once again upped her career best with 49 assists to go with nine digs and four blocks. Anderson put up 16 digs with junior Elle McCord and sophomore Devan Porter with 13 and 10, respectively.
[su_spacer size=”40″] Georgia fell in the first set to the Rams despite hitting .414 as a team before holding VCU to a .029 clip to win the second. In that frame, VCU registered 10 attack errors while redshirt senior Jasmine Eatmon led with four kills.
[su_spacer size=”40″] Out of the break, Georgia gained a quick 5-1 lead before a 5-0 run that included two Anderson aces made it 12-7. VCU pulled within one at 15-14, but a Dachs kill ended any further damage on the way to the 2-1 lead. Georgia easily handled VCU in the fourth, going up as much as 21-10 after a Kazor block. The Texas product had three stops in the set while Porter had a team-high five digs.
[su_spacer size=”40″] Against Hofstra, McCray shattered her career-high hitting mark by putting up a .750 clip on nine kills and 12 attempts with no errors. Dachs also had a team-best nine kills while Lobenstein followed with seven. Anderson anchored the back row with 11 digs.
[su_spacer size=”40″] In the first frame, Hofstra pulled ahead late at 24-21, but two Pride miscues and a block from Dachs and McCray held off set point and knotted it at 24 each. Two kills followed for Hofstra to take the early match lead. It was the same story in the second, but Georgia had set point at 24-23 with a Kazor kill and 25-24 with a Dachs point; however, Hofstra tabbed the last three points for the win en route to a 3-0 final match score.
