Roquan Smith set his financial aid paperwork to Georgia, and puts the icing on a great 2015 Recruiting Class.

National Signing day had it’s fair share of drama. A big storyline: Roquan Smith.

Smith committed on National Television to the UCLA Bruins by pulling out a pair of Blue and Gold gloves. It seemed as if the Georgia native had decided he wanted to get out of the state, and shock the recruiting world at the same time. But hold the phone.
[break] Senior Highlights
[break] Roquan was said to have been 50/50 all the way up to his announcement between UCLA and Georgia. Then just after his announcement, he said that he was going to take his time to send in his LOI…If the drama wasn’t already at a premium, moments later news broke that UCLA Defensive Coordinator Jeff Ulbrich was set to take the LB coaching position for the Atlanta Falcons. Ulbrich served as Roquan’s primary recruiter at UCLA and allegedly told Roquan that he was staying in California.   Fast forward over a week from that day to now: Roquan Smith Commits to Georgia. The Montezuma standout re-evaluated his decision and decided to stay in-state. Smith Joins a very deep defensive class for UGA, and will likely fight for playing time immediately. Smith has great speed for a linebacker and epitomizes playing sideline to sideline. The 4-Star backer is a HUGE get for the Dawgs, and his story is what makes recruiting so deflating/exhilarating to watch.   All I See Is The Top
