Beale Street in Old Memphis lit up on Thursday afternoon as the 2016 Liberty Bowl Parade and Pep Rally amped up the fans. As the bands came down the street, echoes of horns and drums filled the air with sweet delight. The musical notes danced off buildings reminding fans that Memphis is the home of the blues.

After the parade, both Dawg and Frog fans gathered in Handy Park for a pep rally. The fans watched as both bands performed and each set of cheerleaders did their routines to excite the crowds. The mascots also got in on the action and had some fun of their own. Despite the cool weather, fans gathered and made sure their pride showed. The pep rally set the mood for the Liberty Bowl and excited fans for the matchup.
