The Bulldogs have lost their second signee from their third-ranked 2017 recruiting class of 26. On Wednesday afternoon, it was revealed that Devonte Wyatt would not be enrolling at Georgia this fall.
 
 
Earlier this week, on Monday, UGA Head Coach Kirby Smart said that there had been no new updates on Robert Beal, Jr. or Devonte Wyatt’s status. Then, in Tuesday’s post-practice press conference, Kirby ended the presser by revealing that R. Beal had been cleared and had enrolled at Georgia, but Wyatt’s status was still up in the air. Beal was practicing with the team on Wednesday. Now, we know the fate of Wyatt.
 
 
Dawgs247’s Kipp Adams broke the story just before 4:00 p.m. as Georgia was going through drills in their third practice day of Fall Camp. So where will the athletic defensive tackle out of Towers High School be heading? Wyatt has enrolled at Hutchinson Community College in Kansas and is practicing with the Blue Dragons per Head Coach Rion Rhoades:
 
 
” ‘He is here,” said Hutchinson head coach Rion Rhoades. “He is enrolled and went through his first practice last night with us. It happened really quickly’ ” (Kipp Adams, 247Sports).
 
 
Coach Rhoades did allude in his interview with 247 that Wyatt could potentially join the Bulldogs after one or two seasons.
 
 
” ‘I definitely know he is going to Georgia when he is done here, either after one season or two seasons,’ ” Rhoades said (Kipp Adams, 247Sports).
 
 
Wyatt makes the second member of the Dogs’ 2017 recruiting class to not enroll at the University. Offensive line signee D’Antre Demery was released from his National Letter of Intent after an off the field incident during the weekend of Georgia’s G-Day game back in April where he was charged and arrested on simple assault and trespassing charges. And where did Demery end up? He is also enrolled at Hutchinson Community College.
 
 
Even without Demery and Wyatt enrolling from Georgia’s most recent class, this group of incoming Bulldog freshmen is an extremely talented bunch and among one of the top recruiting classes from 2017.
