The University of Georgia softball program has announced its schedule for the upcoming 2020 season. 

Georgia’s 2020 schedule features 55 games total including 36 to be played at Jack Turner Softball Stadium. A total of 15 teams on the schedule played in the 2019 NCAA Tournament, of which seven advanced to a Super Regional and three appeared in the Women’s College World Series.

The 2020 season, the 24^th in Athens, begins Feb. 6 at Jack Turner Softball Stadium when the Bulldogs host North Alabama in a Thursday evening matchup. Georgia hosts the 13^th Annual Red and Black Showcase that weekend, welcoming Howard, Kent State, and UNC Wilmington to Athens.

Georgia travels to Atlanta for an in-state showdown with Georgia State Feb. 12 before heading to Clearwater, Florida for the Second Annual ESPN Elite Invitational Feb. 12-14. The Bulldogs will take on top programs including Kansas, Northwestern, Texas Tech, defending national champions UCLA, and South Florida.

A pair of midweeks against Samford (Feb. 19) and South Carolina State (Feb. 20) will prime the Bulldogs for the 17^th Annual Georgia Classic featuring Central Michigan, James Madison, and Austin Peay Feb. 21-23 in Athens.

The Bulldogs host Alabama State (Feb. 25) before heading to Clemson Feb. 26 to take on the Tigers in their inaugural softball season.

Early-season tournament action closes Feb. 28-Mar. 1 in the 11^th Annual Bulldog Classic when Eastern Illinois, Boston College, and Western Carolina come to Athens.

A midweek with rival Georgia Tech in the Classic City on Mar. 4 will predate the start of Southeastern Conference play when Georgia hosts South Carolina Mar. 6-8. Other home SEC series will include Auburn (Mar. 20-22), Kentucky (Apr. 4-6), and Mississippi State (Apr. 17-19).

Georgia will travel to four SEC opponents including Arkansas (Mar. 13-15), LSU (Mar. 27-29), Texas A&M (Apr. 8-10), and Florida (Apr. 24-26).

Other home midweek matchups include Furman (Mar. 11), Oklahoma State (Mar. 18), USC Upstate (Mar. 25), and Georgia State (Apr. 15).

The SEC Tournament will be held May 6-10 at Rhoads Stadium in Tuscaloosa, Alabama.

The 2020 season will be the 20^th under head coach Lu Harris-Champer and the 24^th of her career. Georgia will look to make its 19^th-consecutive appearance in the NCAA Tournament this season. Georgia concluded the 2019 season 42-19.
