ATLANTA (August 31, 2016) – Fans heading to Atlanta for the 2016 Chick-fil-A Kickoff Game will be treated to a bowl-like atmosphere that includes a full slate of game-day activities that kick off well before No. 18 Georgia and No. 22 North Carolina take the field.
FanZone presented by Coca-Cola will be located at the Georgia World Congress Center (GWCC) just steps away from the Georgia Dome. The event will be highlighted by the official Pep Rally and Team Walks presented by PNC Bank featuring the Georgia Dawg Walk and the North Carolina Victory Walk. Fans will have the opportunity to greet their teams, joined by the bands and cheerleaders, as they arrive at the Georgia Dome at approximately 3 p.m.
FanZone presented by Coca- Cola will open at 12:30 p.m. and feature interactive football games, sponsor activations, and a variety of contests and giveaways at the PNC Main Stage.
Tailgate Town built by The Home Depot is the ultimate outdoor tailgating experience. It is located outside at the West Plaza of the Georgia World Congress Center and will feature interactive sponsor displays and live entertainment. The event begins at 12:30 p.m.
Trager Grills, the official grill of the Chick-fil-A Kickoff Game, will be providing food samples and will host a wing-eating contest. There will be a cornhole tournament brought to you by The Home Depot and DJ Suspense hosting the live entertainment and giveaways. There will also be a large HD TV screen to watch all to the early afternoon football action.
FanZone presented by Coca-Cola wraps up at 4:30 p.m. while Tailgate Town built by the Home Depot will extend closer to kickoff. Georgia and North Carolina will square off at the Georgia Dome at 5:30 p.m. and the game can be seen on ESPN.
