Georgia practiced in the beautiful fall weather on Tuesday afternoon as the media got to see period four of practice. Not much changed for the press’s eyes but there were a few nuggets of information worth noting. 
 

Offense:

 
 
I primarily watched the offense during the period and got a glimpse of the offensive line running an interesting drill.  The players worked on their cut blocking technique. Each offensive lineman would line up in front of a dummy and run full force at it and hit it with his shoulder. The unit did it multiple times and finished the media time with some footwork and additional blocking.
 
 
However, of note was right guard Solomon Kindley, who has been working with the No. 1 O-line for the majority of Fall Camp and practice, stood at the back of the pack and didn’t participate. At least he didn’t do the drills while we were out there. So the ones looked like this, Isaiah Wynn (LT), Pat Allen (LG), Lamont Gillard (C), Kendall Baker (RG) and Andrew Thomas (RT). Outside of Baker replacing Kindley at RG, the No. 1 o-line group stayed the same.
 
 
As for the twos, the line up went as followed, Isaiah Wilson (LT), Justin Shaffer(LG), Sean Fogarty (C), Dyshon Sims (RG), and Ben Cleveland (RT). I looked back through my notes and saw that Sims has practiced at every position at some point during fall camp. Head coach Kirby Smart mentioned multiple times how important it is for the linemen to be versatile.
 
 

 
Jacob Eason looked sharp again with his crisp and accurate throws. The trainers had him and the fellow quarterbacks throwing wet balls with the anticipation of rain on Saturday. So did those slippery football cause any problems? The wet balls did cause a few of the wide outs to drop passes and fumble the balls a tad bit. Riley Ridley continues to work with what seems to be the first team along with Terry Godwin, Javon Wims, and Michael Chigbu.
 

Defense:

 
I didn’t get to watch the defense long but did get to see Trey Scott fire up the defensive line with some fundamental drills. He had the linemen running suicides and different footwork drills, pushing the big men till they could ‘feel the burn’ in their legs. Chauncey Manac was not at practice, and in Kirby Smart’s post-practice presser, it was announced that the redshirt freshman OLB would be transferring to Garden City Community College.
 
 

 
 
The linebackers practiced a hitting drill, and the starters looked to be seniors Davin Bellamy and Lorenzo Carter with D’Andre Walker and Walter Grant being the immediate backups. A big push by the freshman to get what appears to be a spot in that two deep depth chart.
 

Bits and Pieces:

 
The Baltimore Ravens had a scout out at practice who watched the linebackers, defensive line, and offensive line. Smart was out on the practice field as we have seen all of Fall Camp and practice, pushing his team to ‘attack the day.’ James Coley urged his wideouts to grind through the adversity of having to deal with wet footballs and make the catch. The team is in full game mode, as they get ready to face App State on Saturday at 6:15 on ESPN.
