MEN’S TENNIS: Georgia’s Emil Reinberg and Doubles Advance in ITA National Fall Championships

Georgia’s Emil Reinberg won in straight sets to highlight the day for the Bulldogs’ men’s tennis team Wednesday at the 2017 Oracle / ITA National Fall Championships.

 
Reinberg, the No. 6 seed in this week’s event, recorded his 11th win of the fall season with a 6-1, 6-2 victory against Nebraska’s Toby Boyer. The Atlanta native moves on to face Stefan Milicevic from Minnesota, who advanced with a 6-1, 6-4 win in the first round.
 
 
In doubles, Jan Zielinski teamed with Robert Loeb to rebound from a first set loss en route to a 4-6, 7-5, 10-8 victory over Old Dominion’s Aziz Kijametovic and Francious Musitelli. Loeb and Zielinski will now play in the Round of 16 on Thursday.
 
 
Georgia’s Wayne Montgomery, Walker Duncan, and Zielinski each dropped their opening-round matches to round out singles play for the Bulldogs.
